Equiano colt, dam a half-sister to Group 1 winner Cityscape and Group 2 winning sprinter Bated Breath. Holds a Group 2 entry at Newbury later in the month and he was very impressive at Bath on debut. The one to beat with more to come.
Improved from her debut when runner-up at Catterick and better again at Sandown, showing good early speed from the gate. Plenty to like about that effort and proven in soft ground but has to improve again if she's to win this contest.
Equiano colt, cost €45,000 as a yearling and 35,000 gns as a two-year-old. Yard's newcomers should always be respected but bred for further than this and this looks a tough ask on debut. Likely first-string on jockey bookings.
Lawman filly, cost €13,000 as a yearling and €47,000 as a Breeze-Up purchase. Dam placed in a Listed race as a two-year-old. Yard's debutantes often respected but probably second-string on jockey bookings and this looks a tough assignment.
Orpen filly, cost €50,000 as a yearling and €190,000 as a Breeze-Up purchase. Holds Group 2 entry so warrants respect on debut for a yard capable of readying newcomers but this looks a tough race to make a debut. Market should reveal expectations.

Fascinating contest and one that could go the way of EQUILATERAL who was impressive when eased down on debut at Bath and has proven he can handle some cut in the ground. Savalas has the benefit of plenty of experience and is still improving while May Girl can't be dismissed if she improves again for a yard that do well with their sprinters.
