Only hints of ability in French bumpers but UK debut left a lot to be desired and his absence since February and moderate levels of previous form conspire against him.
Consistent over hurdles and attained a good standard. Comes to fences relatively late for one with so much experience but his wiliness can give him a vital edge. Shrewd yard knows how to place a horse of his type, so one to consider for sure .
Hard to win with in point-to-points was very expensive to follow in that sphere. Makes limited appeal as one that is likely to improve at his age - others look more solid this time.
Has experience of these fences but needs to improve greatly on what he has shown so far. However, this is a lot easier than his latest assignment, so no surprise if he can be coaxed into filling one of the places if he puts in a better show.
Claims on bits and pieces of his point-to-pointing form but not the same force since switch to racing under rules, in which he is yet to start at single figure odds. Makes limited appeal as one that is capable of causing an upset.
Modest over hurdles but is introduced to fences at a very realistic level. Sure to have been well schooled, it's feasible he can go well; but may find himself playing a minor role if Kapstadt runs up to the best of his hurdling form.
Has ability but is inconsistent over hurdles. Now worth a try over fences and possible he may improve. But needs to show more resilience and makes limited appeal for a win only punt.
Forecasts
Western Miller (11/10), Kapstadt (15/8), Reilly's Minor (5/1), Too Many Diamonds (12/1), Cervin (20/1), Ourson (66/1), The Land Agent (100/1)
This could be a decent opportunity for KAPSTADT to get himself back on track. The gelding is easily the best of this bunch over hurdles on the evidence and could have too many guns for the likes of Too Many Diamonds and Western Miller, who look the pick of the opposition.
