A C&D winner twice earlier in the year off much lower marks he's improved since then scoring in two Goodwood handicaps off higher marks. His three runs since then off marks in the 90's have left a little bit to be desired and appears to have gone off the boil.

Record here overall is one that is hard to fault with five course wins to his name (four over C&D) but whilst he has had an excellent season more is needed off this mark. Likes to go from the front but will find it hard to dominate this big field.

One of the few runners in this that haven't scored here and yet to win on the AW although he's been in excellent form of late on the turf winning two Ripon handicaps. This requires a little more though and not as appealing away from Ripon.

A three-time winner this year with one of the wins coming over this C&D on his AW debut (only AW outing so far). 2lb higher than his last win he'll be suited by a strong gallop although the wide draw makes things harder.

The winner of this race in 2015 he was a little bit below form on his last start when he wasn't suited by the way the race developed. Needs a well run race to get involved here although that won't be easy from a wide draw.

Had some reasonable form on the AW earlier in the year but hasn't been as good since he was switched to turf although his penultimate run provided him with a very different test. Disappointed last time but well drawn to go forward which appears to suit.

Came back to his best when tried with different tactics for the first time over C&D last time out recording his first win since last October. Seen to maximum effect last time and will find it harder to repeat those tactic here from the draw/bigger field.

Despite catching the eye on more than one occasion this year he's not an easy ride often being off the bridle early and then coming home well. Has won over C&D but will need some luck in running to score here.

It took him a while to confirm his earlier promise and he had to drop in grade to win over 7f here. Failed to build on that run over C&D last time under a penalty and, despite the yard being in good form, he may find this test a little too much.

Drawn widest of all he'll need to be smart to win from his post position having been in good form earlier in the year completing a handicap hat-trick over C&D off 6lb lower. Has run creditable races since but will do well to lead here and faces pace pressure.

Three wins to his name around here with two coming over C&D the latest of those coming in 0-90 in May. Has been running on the turf since then but disappointed last time and will be happier back on a surface on which all his wins have come on.

Quite lightly raced this year and certainly shaped as though he needed the run when returning from a break over C&D last time. Overall his form falls a little bit short to win this despite having plenty of decent form around here.

His form has been consistent enough this year without winning although he has win over C&D in the past. He's still 8lb above his last winning mark though and on the evidence of this season the handicapper has him in his grip.

Lightly-raced this year winning a Brighton handicap on his reappearance over 7f in a race where he was amongst the least exposed. Ran well enough on one subsequent run but then disappointed and back from a break here.

Carries a 6lb penalty for her recent C&D win adding to her already good course record and looking ahead of her mark. This will be tougher though as this is a much higher grade and requires a career best to win.

A winner on his first run of the season he has previously won over C&D and he'll probably appreciate this return to a shorter trip after trying further of late. Flying higher than usual here though with the visor going on for the first time but is well drawn.

15:15 Kempton - 9 September 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

This won’t be easy to win and there are 12 C&D winners in this with only three of the field not having won at Kempton. Some of the more fancied runners like Chiefofchiefs and Commodity are drawn wide and that may give them a tough task along with a previous winner in Georgian Bay who is also positioned wide out. Some of those that like to go from the front may end up taking each other on and that could compromise the chance of Timeless Art and Believe It. Brilliant Vanguard is interesting although he might not be as good away from Ripon and a chance is taken on RIPOLL who has a good course record and is well drawn in stall 4.
