Finished 2¼ adrift of Poetic Charm on her debut but improved to score over 7f (good to soft) at Ascot next time. Outclassed in a Group 3 subsequently when again adrift of Poetic Charm, so clearly something to find.
Had Jousi and other subsequent winners in arrears when scoring first time out and again had Jousi behind when fifth in the Group 3 Sweet Solera Stakes at Newmarket (7f, good to soft). The one to beat, providing she acts on polytrack.
Overcame a slow start to win first time out on heavy ground over 5f at Sandown and by no means disgraced from a wide draw in a Group 3 event over 7f at Goodwood next time. This more realistic with improvement likely.
Cost £25,000 as a yearling and shaped with a degree of promise when sixth of 16 on her debut over 6f at Yarmouth last month. Likely to do better over this extra furlong without being quite good enough.
Signs of promise first time out when third over 6f at Lingfield but took a step backwards when stepped up to 7f at Newbury next time, beating only a couple home. Likely to appreciate the return to polytrack but looks up against it.
Forecasts
Poetic Charm (2/7), Jousi (9/2), Club Tropicana (12/1), Santorini Sun (14/1), Moggy (50/1)
POETIC CHARM has twice beaten Jousi with something to spare and, being a half-sister to the Group 1 winner, Teofilio, there should be much more to come from her. She should prove a cut above here with Santorini Sun taken to chase her home.
