Fairly ordinary handicapper even at his best and he's not been seen since the early part of the year when he turned in some moderate AW performances. Tried over a variety of trips so hard to know what to expect here and best watched.

Went off far too hard on his last start with this rider on board although that was better than his recent efforts. Efforts over trips such as this before hardly inspire and it may well be that he finds this trip too far and is passed over here.

A C&D winner earlier in the year backing up a win several weeks earlier on the AW at Chelmsford but found life too hard off higher mark after that. Did fare a little better on a recent start and now back down to his last winning mark.

Didn't run too badly on his first start for this yard over 1m2f at Yarmouth (travelled well) and ran to the same level on his next start. Is always going to look vulnerable to less-exposed sorts but there appear to be a dearth of those in this.

Remains a maiden and taking a look at her recent runs it's not that hard to see why. She may well have still looked a little green on handicap debut but showed signs of temperament last time and looked none too keen.

A winner just over a year ago off a 4lb higher mark her last run signalled that she should run well here when taking the runner-up slot at Bath. Now with the assistance of one of the leading amateur riders he makes plenty of appeal in this weak event.

Another one in this field who is hard to trust with both his recent runs looking rather half-hearted and weak at the finish and despite the basement mark he's not one to trust.

Edge (6/4), Dancing Dragon (7/2), Oceanus (9/2), Master Of Heaven (15/2), Knight Of The Air (8/1), Jazri (14/1), My Lord (50/1), Rubheira (50/1)

17:30 Brighton - 4 September 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Not a particularly strong end to the card and it probably presents EDGE with a chance to regain the winning thread now that he is partnered by Sarena Brotherton. Master Of Heaven has won over C&D and looks likely to provide the main challenge with Oceanus and Knight Of The Air offered up as a couple that could battle out the minor placings.
