Keen on debut at Musselburgh last year but it didn't stop him from winning easily (form franked by the third, winner next time out) and ran to a similar level next time, despite getting beaten. Rare runner for the yard here and must be shortlisted.
Three starts so far have revealed little, although he looked the type to need time and may do better this year. Yard 0-5 bumpers here last five seasons though and others make more appeal today.
Like many from the yard, looked to be learning the job as he went in a bumper here in June and showed a bit of ability in the process. Should do better again here and could pick some prizemoney up.
Purchased by current connections for 23,000 euros last year and not seen since, so has presumably needed a bit of time. Nicely bred and with the yard having a 46% strike rate here u=im bumpers the last five seasons, has to be taken seriously.
Breeding suggests he'll want further in time but he's run to a good level in his last two starts, and a return to a more galloping track here will suit. Looks one of the main contenders on form and holds a solid chance of going one better.
Showed a bit of ability when fourth to Spice Girl at Uttoxeter in May but hung under pressure, and had previously run out in a point-to-point, so may have his quirks. Needs more here anyway and others are preferred.
Makes some appeal on pedigree but will want further than this and yard, who rarely have runners in this sphere, are 0-9 in them in the past five years. Best watched.
Forecasts
Beyond The Clouds (10/11), Mac Tottie (11/4), Francky Du Berlais (7/2), Cold Weston (20/1), Balibour (33/1), Texan Nomad (50/1), Madame Ember (80/1)
Peter Bowen's record in bumpers here sways me towards the unraced FRANCKY DU BERLAIS rather than the proven form of Beyond The Clouds and Mac Tottie, neither of whom has done anything wrong but the Bowen yard introduce some decent horses in these events and this could just be another.
