Drops back into this grade for the first time in a couple of years which gives her a chance as does professional handling. Has run a couple of decent races this season and despite running poorly last time would have a chance here.

Still a maiden after eight runs her form this season continues to disappoint although she does drop into this grade for the first time. Given a break before his last run she didn't show anything and was never a threat over a mile.

Has won twice over this course (once over this distance) and he generally likes to go forward as he did when winning here last time having slipped below his last winning mark. No guarantee that he will follow that run up though off 5lb higher.

Turned in his best effort of the season when winning here over mile last time out but not always one to trust. That win takes him back up to a mark that he has never won off and his profile is an inconsistent one.

Has flattered to deceive on too many occasions to be trusted here and running poorly of late. Now back below his last winning mark but with is profile he simply can't be trusted here.

From a stable in top-class form at the moment he remains a maiden and the run here last time out over a furlong shorter probably shows why. Travelled well for much of the way (loomed up at one stage) but again failed to produce a sound finishing effort.

Losing run dates back over two years now and ran poorly last time out although the trip (1m4f) was probably too far. Has hinted at being able to win still and mark is at an all-time low but still not a solid proposition.

Well beaten by Rioja Day in a handicap here last time out and plenty to do at the weights with that one. Looks as though she's proving rather regressive and hard to see her winning given her previous form.

Has achieved very little in three handicaps starts so far falling 10lb from his original mark but showing very little last time out. Hard to find too many reasons for getting involved with him now beyond the basement mark.

Takes a decent step-up in trip from his last start where he was coming back from a long break with the cheekpieces on for the first time. Showed very little though and it takes a leap of faith to back him here.

Showed her best form for this yard on debut with a second in this grade over 7f at Ayr. May be better over further but hasn't as yet built on her stable debut although she would have a chance if she returned to form.

Ran with some credit last time out over a mile here behind Rioja Day/Colour Contrast showing more of late. It is though 27 runs since her last win and her overall record on the Flat of 2/62 is hardly bet compelling.

The best course record is held by this one having won here three times (once over C&D) but it's a long time since she scored. Has descended to a basement mark but not totally written off given her course record.

Forecasts

Colour Contrast (3/1), Al Hawraa (4/1), Ingleby Spring (7/1), New Abbey Angel (8/1), Riponian (8/1), Rioja Day (8/1), Irvine Lady (14/1), Stardrifter (16/1), Granite City Doc (20/1), Red Shadow (22/1), Indian Giver (28/1), Chookie Valentine (33/1), Dark Illustrator (66/1)

17:25 Hamilton - 2 September 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Hardly the most bet compelling event with the large majority of the field having not shown much form for quite some time. Rioja Day won’t get an easy time up with the pace this time around with Riponian in the race and those two may just set this up for a closer. Colour Contrast should get this run to suit and he would have a good chance if he finds more when coming under pressure this time around. INGLEBY SPRING drops in grade here with professional handling for the first time in a while and that may be enough to see her return to winning form with Irvine Lady offered up as a suggestion at a longer price to outrun her odds.
  1. Ingleby Spring
  2. Colour Contrast
  3. Irvine Lady
