Picked up a Listed race as a juvenile but has finished last on both starts this year. Yard capable of picking them back up from such lows but hard to justify support at present.
A flattering third in last year's Royal Lodge did nothing for his handicap mark and he has been difficult to place since. Doubts he will stay this far but looking better treated now.
4-12 record but yet to convince in this grade and stable have gone off the boil lately. Meets potentially better treated rivals and faces a difficult task.
Has work to with Society Red on running behind Defoe in July but he appears to have made the greater progress since. Scored over this trip at York and has to be given a chance after experiments over different distances have since gone awry.
Cost $450,000, his dam won a Group 3 in France. Skilfully placed to land two races this term and beat Bear Valley in the latest. Should confirm that form and a stable are 4-12 this week. Obvious claims and market confidence would be significant
Made all to land his maiden by a wide margin but readily beaten in two starts since on slower ground. Ought to be more of a factor here and yard are 11-33 at the track.
Obvious claims on his York second to Defoe but nowhere near as good since. Needs to bounce back and others look more persuasive. Stable took this last year.
Winner of a Sandown handicap and gradually slipping back towards that mark. Has struggled in similar company previously and the yard are going through a period of indifferent performances.
Forecasts
Mudaarab (13/8), Society Red (7/1), The Statesman (7/1), Bear Valley (7/1), Alwahsh (15/2), Euro Nightmare (8/1), Appointed (9/1), Montataire (14/1), Sea Fox (33/1)
MUDARRAB represents a yard in form and who do well with this type at this time of year. He looks open to further progress and could prove a cut above these. Alwahsh is respected on this surface for a stable with a good strike rate here whilst Appointed should be seen to better effect back at this trip.
