Been a good servant to connections over the years, wins in his turn and seems happiest in small fields, so has a bit going for him. Only 1lb higher than last win at Fontwell in May and holds every chance of notching another one here.
Talented but frustrating type that hasn't won as many as he should have, already on fourth trainer but nothing wrong with latest second at Bangor although that form took a knock at the weekend. Always comes with risks, but chances again here.
Improving nicely and although winning run came to a halt at Perth last time, he lost no caste in defeat to the evergreen Creevytennant in a driving finish. Small field here offers him the chance to dominate and solid chance again.
Never the most consistent but capable on his day, in good form with a solid fifth in a valuable Uttoxeter handicap followed up by a head second there last time. Trip and likely ground fine and chances if on a going day again.
Thorough stayer that often comes off the bridle at halfway only to stay on strongly again late. On a winning mark again but this test is unlikely to play to his stamina strengths and he may find others quicker.
First run for new yard (formerly with Gordon Elliott) and they have plenty of winners here, so worth a look on that alone, but not seen out since February and likely to find this too sharp a test on likely quick ground. Best watched today.
Forecasts
Sonneofpresenting (15/8), Buachaill Alainn (7/2), Gentleman Jon (7/2), Kilfinichen Bay (8/1), West Wizard (9/1), Riverside City (12/1)
SONNEOFPRESENTING has made a good impression over fences and despite getting beaten at Perth, the winner there is a bit of a specialist at the track and he ran well in defeat. He can make all in this small field. Kilfinchen Bay and Buachaill Alainn have both been around the block a few times and can chase him home.
