Made a reasonable debut at Sandown when unable to quicken at the business end, perhaps on account of the soft ground. Should be capable of better both for the experience and this better ground.
12-1 and eighth of 10, beaten almost 8L on debut at Newmarket recently. Sound surface may help elicit some improvement, in addition to the racecourse experience. so it is possible that he may take a significant step forward this time.
Considering that he was 66-1. he made a good debut when beaten just under 4L at Newmarket (7f, good to soft) last month. Can build on that here and the step up in trip should help too. Very interesting.
€60,000 yearling. Closely related to 7f-1m2f winner Drumfire (inc. Group Three as a 2yo). Half brother to seven winners (inc Group Three at 2yo), largely at 6f/7f. Dam also won over 6f/7f. Should be straight enough to run well on debut.
115,000gns foal, who then sold for 130,000gns as a yearling. First foal of a 7f-1m winning (inc at 2yo/Group Three), half-sister to a 6f 2yo Listed winner out of an unraced half-sister to 6f Group One winner Malhub. Yard's juveniles merit respect.
Was doing her best work at the business end when making a pleasing debut at Wolverhampton earlier this month. Plenty of optimism that she can come on for that and make an impact in this field.
Improved a little for her debut when tried over a similar trip at Lingfield last time. Even so, she is likely to need a fair bit more to break her duck today and nurseries look likely to yield greater reward.
Forecasts
Global Style (10/3), Berkshire Spirit (7/2), Lynwood Gold (4/1), We Know (5/1), I'm A Star (6/1), Iconic Code (9/1), Colorado Dream (33/1), Raven's Song (50/1)
I'm A Star easily outperformed his odds on debut and will be tough to beat if he can better that, while Iconic Code is feared along with Berkshire Spirit and Global Style. Debutantes We Know and LYNWOOD GOLD both look interesting on paper and the latter might just prove good enough.
