An unpredictable sort who dons the cheekpieces for the first time and his form is very patchy. Ran poorly here recently and not the best of jumpers either and can look lazy.
Makes her first start for this yard having enjoyed a good campaign last year when winning three of her last four starts. Not really built on that promise in her last two runs though but switch of yards may perk her up.
Very rare for her to run two races the same and despite a break she still looked out of form last time. Always looks vulnerable even at this level and hard to trust here.
A lenient handicap mark led to him being well supported when winning Worcester handicap hurdle last summer off 108. Didn't quite match that form his subsequent outings (still ran with credit) and not seen since Boxing Day. Worth a look in the market though.
Took advantage of a lowly hurdles mark at Kempton Park in May and runs off the same mark here although his last run left plenty to be desired. Not the most reliable and probably a better chaser than hurdler.
Has some useful form over fences and is much better in that sphere and he may well struggle to stay this trip. Not disgraced on his last hurdles start but this may well be to tune him up for another fencing campaign.
The winner of this race last year off a 5lb higher mark he tends to run well around this course and looked as though he was coming into his won when second here last time. Given his previous run and form here must have a leading chance again.
Has caught the eye in a couple of ways in his two runs so far for this stable and could be worth a second look. The handicapper probably needs to play ball though and drop him a few pounds but he might be able to run into a place at least.
Forecasts
Ramore Will (7/4), Royal Battalion (3/1), Robert's Star (4/1), Ashcott Boy (10/1), Aunty Ann (12/1), Prouts Pub (16/1), Miss Maiden Over (20/1), Falcarragh (25/1)
ROYAL BATTALION won this race last year from out of the blue but he’s given more indication that he’s ready to score this time around and his current form gives him every chance of taking this race again. Plenty of the others have some rather large holes in their form although Miss Maiden Over and Robert’s Star are two that are worth watching in the market. Ramore Will has shown that he can win races although he may still need some respite for the handicapper.
