Like many here he makes his chase debut but has yet to win a race in 14 attempts over hurdles. Not the most appealing profile and was well held at Galway last time out.
Looked like he might have a race in him when catching the eye in finishing fifth at Listowel in June, but couldn't build on that behind Pass The Ball at Tipperary last time. Too soon to write off but needs to improve again now.

His form over fences so far has proved modest (0/4) and although he took a small step forward last time out ay Tipperary he would be better off in handicaps.

Has some decent point-to-point form if you're willing to go back far enough, but just 1-26 under Rules. Not running badly over hurdles last couple and the switch back to the bigger obstacles may help. Place chances here.

Switches to the larger obstacles after failing to impress in his last few novice hurdles although he didn't really look as though he got home when tried over this trip before. Others on this occasion are much preferred.

Has shown some fair form over hurdles but remains a maiden and looked consistent rather than progressive in that sphere. Has shaped like a non-stayer over 3m and this trip may also stretch his suspect stamina as he tries fences for the first time.
One of the likely front runners here and had the run of the race when landing a novice hurdle here over 2m5f in June. His form since in handicaps over hurdles looks to have rather stalled and now turns his attentions to chasing.

Chase form reads poorly and despite a stiff task last time out fences at Galway he doesn't look one to have an awful lot of confidence in overall.

Winner of a point-to-point he also managed to win over hurdles at Downpatrick last year when making all over 2m7f. Sent chasing straight after that win he's on occasions looked as though he can win a race over fences although he may have more chance in a handicap.

A winner of three of his 11 starts in point-to-points his form over hurdles is only modest although he did win a Perth handicap hurdle last time out by 10L showing a good turn of foot in the closing stages. His previous chasing form has been very modest but improvement is expected now he's with a leading yard.

Has shown some fair form in handicap hurdles winning off a mark of 97 at Bellewstown in July over 3m and has run with credit in two starts since. Now goes chasing for the first time and would have a chance based on his performances in handicap hurdles.

Has been in good form at a modest level over hurdles of late finally winning one at Wexford over 2m4f last time out. Slightly surprising that she's sent chasing with connections having the option of handicaps over hurdles first.

Managed to take the runner-up slot on debut in a point-to-point but her form over hurdles was only modest and she was below form last timeout at Kilbeggan. Now switched to fences fort the first time others make more appeal.

Horse silk

Some of her hurdles form was fair but she showed only a modest level of form sent chasing for the first time on her last start with a tongue-tie on for the first time. Might take a small step forward here but others are much preferred.

The youngest in the field and already a winner on the Flat and over hurdles albeit a fortunate one in the latter sphere last time out when left clear at the last. Now given his debut over fences getting weight from the entire field and must be among the leading players here.

Forecasts

Swingbridge (9/4), Sam King (7/1), Moroval (7/1), Double Windsor (9/1), Fiddlers Bow (10/1), A Year To Remember (10/1), Chestnut Brave (10/1), Rebel Turn (12/1), Guitar George (14/1), Tigroney (16/1), Naturally Blond (20/1), The Rite Article (20/1), Swift (40/1), Ballinahow Bill (50/1), Chase The Clouds (50/1)

17:20 Tramore - 17 August 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

A fair size field go to post for the opening chase with plenty of them making their first appearance over the larger obstacles. Sam King looks capable of winning in this sphere but he might be better off at the weights in handicaps and there must be a slight doubt about Moroval lasting out this trip. A Year To Remember is worth mentioning in dispatches making his debut over fences having won last time out but the experience of SWINGBRIDGE might just stand him in good stead here as he bids to follow up his hurdles win last time out. Chestnut Brave is interesting sent straight over fences after her hurdles win last time out with The Rite Article another for the short list.
  1. Swingbridge
  2. Chestnut Brave
  3. A Year To Remember
