Age: 2|  Weight: 9-2| J: G Lee| T: K Dalgleish
14/1
Fast Company colt purchased for £14,000 as a yearling in August 2016. Dam won three times over 5f including as a two-year-old. Green on debut and never in contention. Better can be expected with that experience and as the stable are in good form at present. Still asking a lot for him to make the progress necessary to land this.

Son of Harbour Watch who fetched £16,000 as a yearling. Dam was a useful US sprinter who has produced five winners. Third in a modest race run in a slow time on debut and yard 1-39 with this age group in 2017.

Cheap purchase who has finished last on both starts to date. Hard to see him playing a major role on that evidence.

Lethal Force gelding who fetched £15,000 as a yearling and is a half-brother to several winners, including useful performer up to 1m, Walkingonthemoon. Green on debut when eighth of nine at Beverley and may need more time to mature. Stable have been quiet but had an overdue winner on Saturday.

£27,000 purchase from a family who have tended to be 7f 2yos. Stable are 2-11 with this age group in 2017 which is an above average strike rate for them. Has only shown modest ability so far but this looks a less competitive race .

Performance levels have slipped with each race and he is up to 7f in a weak contest. Had little chance behind a wide margin winner last time. Stable in form and 12-62 with this age group in 2017.

From the successful first crop of Australian speedster Epaulette. Soundly beaten on both starts but in good hands and worth noting if supported with that experience in the bank.
Choisir filly and related to winning milers Percythepinto, Weapon Of Choice and Eager To Bow. Picked up cheaply for €3,000 and represents an in form yard.

€25,000 daughter of Footstepsinthesand and related to a couple of useful middle-distance horses in France and Australia. Yard are looking for their 40th juvenile winner of the season and the market ought to be informative.

Forecasts

Wahoo (13/8), Harbour Vision (11/4), Urban Soul (7/1), Vera Drake (15/2), Claramara (10/1), Bertie Wallace (14/1), Shef Wedsneigh (25/1), Surrender (40/1), Troop (50/1)

14:00 Thirsk - 15 August 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

WAHOO may not have made much progress since his debut but his form looks stronger than that of his rivals. The stable are having a good season and have done well with this age group. Harbour Vision was third in a weak looking race run in a slow time on debut but would still appear the main danger. Urban Soulhas looked green on both starts but the stable have done well with their youngsters this year and he ought to know a lot more today.
  1. Wahoo
  2. Harbour Vision
  3. Urban Soul
