Firm ground winner at Bath in June but that's his only win from 20 starts. Step up in trip should help but he's never looked quite as effective on ground this soft. Trainer has 22% strike-rate here and jockey has a 25% strike-rate here so certainly can't be dismissed for connections who enjoy this course.
Gained a first turf win two starts back and came close to following up under a penalty at Haydock last time. Gives the impression he enjoy this ground and good chance of gaining compensation for that narrow loss here not that he's back in form.
Runner-up in a Kempton maiden earlier in the season but struggled subsequently in handicaps and no sign of improvement returned to maidens on his last couple of starts. Looks up against it and needs first-time blinkers to spark some improvement.
Winner of a Wolverhampton handicap earlier in the season but he's struggled off his revised mark since. Working his way back down to a more realistic mark now but out of form currently and others have stronger claims.
Well beaten in three maidens but improved to finish a 66/1 third at Doncaster last time out from out of the handicap. Obvious claims if she can build on that effort.
Forecasts
Peachey Carnehan (5/4), Lightoller (11/4), Blue Rocks (6/1), Naralsaif (7/1), Who Told Jo Jo (16/1), Hisar (16/1)
PEACHEY CARNEHAN was only just touched off last time and can gain compensation from a lower mark here. Naralsaif put up an improved performance on handicap debut last time while Lightroller represents connections who do well here.
