Kyllachy colt, cost 12,500 gns as a yearling and 12,000 gns as a Breeze-Up purchase. Half-brother to an AW winner over this trip and dam was a half-sister to useful stayer Royal Destination. Yard not known for their success with juveniles and hood for debut perhaps not the best sign. Best watched.
Mastercraftsman colt, cost 37,000 gns as a yearling and 7,500 gns as a two-year-old. Only narrowly touched off here on debut and form of that race has been franked. Little disappointing last time out at Lingfield but no surprise to see him bounce back here.
Rock Of Gibralter colt, cost €30,000 as a foal and 11,000 gns as a yearling. Half brother to seven winners including Listed winner Mytographie. Useful enough pedigree for this kind of affair but well beaten and green on debut and likely to need more time.
Mastercraftsman colt, cost 16,000 gns as a yearling and dam a winner over sprint trips and closely related to Listed winner Tantina. Well beaten on first two starts and looks like a more likely winner in handicaps further down the line.
Poet's Voice colt, 66/1 for debut when running better than those odds suggest over C&D and not disgraced when third of 7 at York last time out where ground may have gone against him. Worth giving another chance to.
Thewayyouare colt, cost €14,000 as a Breeze-Up purchase. Finished last on both starts to date and needs to improve markedly for the fitting of first-time cheekpieces.
Farhh filly who showed plenty of promise on debut after a slow start and ran well here over C&D last time out. Form of the race has been franked multiple times since so should go well again now proven here.
Forecasts
Oswald (1/1), Tranquil Soul (5/2), The Throstles (4/1), Sauchiehall Street (22/1), Kalakchee (25/1), Rocus (66/1), Wiltons (100/1)
The race that TRANQUILL SOUL finished runner-up in has been franked several times since by the horses finishing first, third and fourth and it would be no surprise to see that for work out well again here. Oswald may be capable of bouncing back from a poor run last time and The Throstles should appreciate the return to the all-weather.
