Had learnt plenty from debut at Sandown in June when always prominent at Chepstow on latest start, running respectably. Qualifies for nurseries after today and that is where his best chance of success may lie.

Slowly away and never in the hunt on debut at Sandown last week, and looks one that needs a bit more time and more of a trip. Makes little appeal here.

Running respectably but couldn't be said to be progressing, and step up to 7f at Chelmsford last time out didn't improve the situation. Drawn poorly here too and no surprise if one or two others are stronger in the finish.

Has run well on both starts to date, and gave the impression that another furlong wouldn't go amiss based on his staying-on fourth at Newbury last time (6f). Not out of this if taking another step forward on that, although yard not known for juvenile winners.

Half-brother to Flar winner Empress Of Tara, purchased for £18,000 last year and breeding suggests this trip will be a minimum. Yard have a 16% strike rate with their 2-y-o's here so is at least worth a look in the market.

Stable companion of Rainbow Jazz, jockey bookings suggest this is the second string and was a relatively cheap purchase last year. Sprint-bred and best watched on debut today.

Purchased for £16,000 last year, not disgraced when not getting the clearest of runs on debut at Chepstow earlier in the month and should have learnt plenty. Will want further than this in time and may still need this.

Did little on debut to suggest he's up to taking a hand here, slowly away and tailed off at Epsom. Will need much further than this on breeding and can only be watched at present.

Only just touched off on debut at Wolverhampton, battling well, and third hosed up at Pontefract last week to give the form a very solid look. Sets the standard and could be hard to beat if as effective on turf, and progressing again.

Cheap purchase last year and bred to want this sort of trip, but yard not known for 2-y-o-winners and others have stronger profiles.

Slowly away, always in rear and finished last on debut at Wolverhampton (finished well behind Oswald) and makes next to no appeal on that.

Was made favourite for the race in which Oswald finished second at Wolverhampton on debut, so clearly better than his final sixth placing was expected. May well do better here but needs to, and others preferred.

Was made favourite for her debut at Kempton in May but was very disappointing, finishing well beaten, and did no better at Nottingham on her latest start. Can only be watched until showing more zest.

10,000gns purchase, nicely bred and ought to be up to winning a race or two on that, but yard not known for 2-y-o winners and can only be of interest if there's market support.

14:20 Lingfield - 26 July 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Not an easy race to start the card off with, and soft underfoot conditions would mean this is a race to tread carefully with. RAINBOW JAZZ just gets the nod after a staying-on fourth at Newbury with this step up in trip likely to bring about a bit more improvement. Oswald did little wrong on debut (was nicely backed that day too) and can prove the main danger. Zabaletaswansong may find others improving past him but still sets a decent standard.
  1. Rainbow Jazz
  2. Oswald
  3. Zabaletaswansong
