Some fair efforts this season but appears to be in the grip of the handicapper at present. Races off a mark 2lb lower than when fourth of 11 at Beverley (good-to-firm) last time.

Broke her maiden at the seventh attempt when wearing cheekpieces (retained) for the first time at Chepstow (good-to-firm) last time out. Races off a 5lb higher mark here and only previous effort on soft ground came over 6f.

Recording his 12th victory when winning over 6f at Pontefract (good-to-firm) last August. Well beaten over 6f here on seasonal debut last month and likely to have improved for that outing.

Disappointing on both turf starts so far this year. Now rated 2lb lower than for his victory over an extended 5f at Bath (good-to-firm) last October.

Victorious on good-to-soft ground at Carlisle over this distance last time out. Had previously run well on the AW at Chelmsford and when 3L second over 6f at Thirsk (soft) and is one for the shortlist following a 4lb rise in the weights.

Finished fourth on all four starts so far including over 6f on good ground here last time out. Likely to appreciate this drop in trip and is less exposed than the majority of her rivals.

Wore a hood for the first time when winning over an extended 5f on good-to-soft ground here last month and not beaten far when third of five at Yarmouth (good) subsequently. Interesting runner here.

Forecasts

Show Palace (5/2), Glacier Point (7/2), Sitar (9/2), Lexington Place (6/1), Primanora (6/1), Burning Thread (14/1), Ace Master (20/1)

18:50 Nottingham - 25 July 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

SITAR can make amends for her defeat over 5f at Yarmouth on good ground last month by taking this sprint handicap. The selection receives weight from all her rivals here and the application of the hood seemed to help when successful here last month. Show Palace won at Carlisle last time out when racing relatively close to the pace and he is another to note as he goes in search of a seventh career success while Glacier Point a Chepstow winner in first time cheekpieces two weeks ago can finish third.
  1. Sitar
  2. Show Palace
  3. Glacier Point
