Course winner who likes to front run and that's the way his only win so far came so far over slightly shorter. Well drawn to attack again from an inside draw although he is still above his last winning mark and can tend to do too much too soon and could face some pace pressure here.

In terrific form on the AW at Newcastle this year winning all his three starts there and came from off the pace to score with something in hand last time out there over a mile. Tends to start slowly and that might make life awkward here but he is an improving sort who ought to be able to cope with this mark if he can handle a return to turf.

The other likely pace angle in the race and well drawn to go forward having made it two wins from his last three starts benefitting from a fall in the weights from his pomp. Showed a good attitude to win last time out although the penalty leaves him more to do now but his stable are in good form and he should be respected.

His suspect attitude/temperament very much holds him back and that's reflected in his win-to-run ratio which is poor. Looks likely to be on the premises again but can't be recommended for win purposes at all.

Still a maiden although on occasions he's looked as though he could pick up a race but has yet to fire this year and probably best treated with caution on his current form.

Like a few others in this race her win-to-runs ratio is very modest and she finally got off the mark at Redcar over 1m2f in April off a mark of 49 after showing some creditable form on the AW. Hasn't really built on that run as yet in four efforts and this trip might prove a little on the short side unless she gets a really good pace to aim at here.

His latest win came from out of the blue when he won at Ayr in very easy fashion seeming to relish the soft ground after a very slow start. Not certain to back up that run at all given his past history. Engaged in the Ayr 3.40 Monday.

Stable have done well with their raiders over the past year or so (generally at Ayr) and this one showed her first form on her initial run in a handicap at Wolverhampton recently. She was down markedly in trip from her last two starts in maidens and also had the blinkers on for the first time and left a suspicion that there could be more to come in this sphere off a lowly mark.

The losing run continues to mount and now stands at 16 starts since a win. Has reached the frame on a couple of occasions this year but that form is only modest and hardly good enough to win a race such as this even off a very lowly mark.

The other course winner in the race (scored back-to-back wins over a mile in April/May 2015) he's scored only once since at Newcastle in March. His mark has now fallen below that last winning mark and he's run respectably of late without really looking like adding another win to his CV.

Her best recent form is the three runner-up slots she gained last year over this sort of trip off higher marks but she's offered little this year off a falling mark in four starts at Hamilton.

No wins in nine starts but she has though run better than her final placing suggests on a couple of starts this year with her best run coming here over 7f. Now operating off her lowest ever handicap mark and it wouldn't be the biggest surprise to see her get competitive here given her best form in what looks to be a weak contest even for this grade.

14:15 Musselburgh - 25 July 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

With Adventureman and Haymarket in the field this should be run at a decent pace and if that pair don’t burn one another off they could easily take this off the front. Plenty of the others like to come from off the pace (sometimes not an ideal runs style at this track) with JOYFUL STAR being one of them and he’s been knocking at the door of late and gets granted a decent opportunity here. Love To Rock should be watched in the market here given his connections while Coral Princess is another worth keeping an eye on in the betting off this lowly mark.

  2. Love To Rock
  3. Coral Princess
