C&D winner with an outstanding record at this course (three wins from four runs), and will enjoy the ground, but currently looks too high in the handicap to be considered for win purposes.

Didn't run to her best at Newbury last time having performed with more promise in two previous maidens. Would have a chance off her opening mark if able to return to that more encouraging form.

Frequently raced and in good form recently, if anything unlucky to have only won two races since his handicap debut last month. Not far away last week off the same mark and deserves close consideration.

Not bad on his day when trained in Ireland but not as effective since switching to his current yard and has something to prove regarding his current levels of ability.

Lightly-raced for his age but 0/5 in both maidens and handicaps for two different trainers and difficult to see that changing now with cheek pieces added.

Her one run in handicap company to date was probably her least encouraging (and the only one for which she was sent off favourite), but she ran well back in maiden company last time and now kept to this trip has leading claims down 2lb.

Won a Wolverhampton maiden on debut (6f, standard), but has looked too high in the weights since switching to handicap company. Slowly working her way down to a lower mark but probably not there yet and is difficult to recommend.

Went close at Haydock when last seen (7f, good to firm), and now up only 1lb is one for the shortlist here given the likely conditions, as he won his maiden on soft ground.

Forecasts

Nothing To Lose (13/8), Peach Melba (3/1), Manners Please (9/2), Hidden Oasis (8/1), Many A Tale (10/1), Highway One (10/1), Satchville Flyer (16/1), Pour La Victoire (25/1), Mr Andros (50/1)

15:00 Ffos Las - 25 July 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

PEACH MELBA seems the sort to always run her race and returns to handicap company now after another creditable run in a maiden. Though one of her weaker efforts to date came in this sphere she'll prefer this trip and is difficult to ignore in her current form, with further improvement far from impossible. She appeals most now down a further 2lb, ahead of the improving Nothing To Lose and Manners Please, who should enjoy the conditions here.
  1. Peach Melba
  2. Nothing To Lose
  3. Manners Please
