Showed some good form last year especially when winning on the Rowley Mile over 1m1f on his seasonal debut and although he failed to win subsequently he still turned in some decent efforts. Again showed that he runs well fresh when third on his seasonal debut at Ripon in May over 1m1f (not as well positioned as the two that beat him) and could well be a factor here back from another break.

Strong travelling sort who won a maiden and a handicap off 80 last year at Haydock over a mile and after a below-par reappearance got back to form when returned to Haydock last time out to score off 85. Still lightly raced and from a good yard a 6lb rise should not be beyond him and he's one for the short list here.

A good class handicap where plenty can be given a chance and Zwayyan is one of the more obvious candidates here having won last time out over a mile at Haydock but he faces a 6lb rise here and it may pay to look elsewhere. Examiner needs things to fall right and the mark might defeat him with Highland Colori entering the equation having been dropped by the handicapper. A strongly run race would suit Ballard Down and the back in trip Temple Church. Knight Owl (runs well fresh) is of great interest but this may just fall in the direction of MASHAM STAR who deserves to win a race like this after his last two starts and might just get the run of this.
