Handicap hurdle winner at Warwick last year (soft ground, so rain won't be a problem) but hasn't set the world alight in two starts over fences so far. Drop back in trip possibly not ideal either, and will need to improve jumping technique too. Others make more appeal.
Won a point-to-point at Cheltenham in April with a wonderful display of jumping and galloping from an early stage, and no disgrace in just getting touched off at Ffos Las by an improver latest. May prefer a left-handed track but that aside, holds another excellent chance of scoring again.
Capable of winning from this mark, and went close at Worcester two starts ago (over a similar trip) but a lifeless display at Ffos Las last time tempers enthusiasm. Others now make more appeal.
Nothing if not consistent, but pays for that as handicap mark doesn't get any leeway. Tight tracks suit him and likely good pace set by Are They Your Own will help, but overall profile suggests he's playing for places again.
Now a pound lower than last win, so no problem with mark, but finds winning hard and although the return to fences will help after a below-par display over hurdles here latest, he still needs to refind his better form to hold a solid chance.
Veteran that's been kept busy since winning at Sedgefield in May but doesn;t appear to be feeling the effects of it judged on latest solid effort at Perth. Drop back in trip fine, and more likely to run his race than a few if the rain stays away.
Forecasts
Are They Your Own (7/4), Muwalla (3/1), Royal Plaza (10/3), Boss Des Mottes (7/1), Jackthejourneyman (7/1), Spring Steel (14/1)
There's a slight question mark over the suitability of this right-handed track for ARE THEY YOUR OWN (has won at Ludlow, but did hang and jump left-handed a bit) but he's the one in form and he won't mind a bit of rain either. He's taken to make all. Boss Des Mottes and Muwalla are in decent form at present and can fight out the minor honours.
