Made his debut in the 2016 Coventry Stakes and duly finished last. Has fared little better in each of his starts since with a 17L tenth of fifteen the nearest he has got. Official ratings indicate he would be receiving plenty of weight from many of these in a handicap.
14-race maiden and dropping in grade following a more a better effort at Newbury. Ridden more positively that day but, not for the first time, capitulated rather too easily.
Fifth when last seen in a Chelmsford nursery which has produced plenty of winners. Sent of favourite that day and looked in need of this longer trip. Top rider (8-52 for the yard) engaged to ride and that suggests he should be ready following an eight month break.
Eight-race maiden whose worst effort came on only start on turf. If reproducing her second to Dandy Maid from last month she might be good enough, so worth a check for positive signals in the market.
Capable trainer has been struggling to find her right trip this season and now drops her in grade. Continues to frustrate and she has plenty to find on official ratings.
Forecasts
Supreme Power (7/4), Do You Know (7/4), Major Cornwallis (11/4), Naupaka (14/1), Garth Rockett (33/1), Red Bordeaux (50/1), Miss Island Ruler (100/1)
Major Cornwallis, Do You Know and SUPREME POWER stand out on official ratings. The former does not appear to relish a battle and it remains to be seen whether he is called upon for maximum effort. Do You Know has ability but we are yet to see it on turf and so SUPREME POWER is our choice. The form of his latest race in November has worked out tremendously well. His wellbeing needs to be taken on trust, but a significant jockey booking suggests all is well on that score.
