The losing run is starting to grow although the handicapper is just starting to release his grip and he's dropped another 2lb here after an effort that caught the eye last time over 1m2f. He's never been tested over this trip before but with a good value apprentice booked he's becoming hard to ignore at the weights.

There was promise in her maiden runs but it could well be that trips like this stretch her stamina a bit and now tried in blinkers for the first time after the cheekpieces were applied last time out. Not for the first time she appeared to promise more than she delivered and she might just get outstayed again here.

Progress has been gradual rather than quick but he still looks unexposed heading into handicaps over the longest trip that he's tried so far. Certainly not knocked about in any of his maiden runs and looks of interest here if he can handle this tricky course having not encountered anything like it so far in his short career.

One of the more interesting handicaps on the night and last time out C&D winner Star of Lombardy must be respected along with Ya Jammeel also worthy of a mention given his recent form and room for improvement. Really Super has looked to be capable of better although there is a worry about her stamina here and finishing effort and both CRAFTSMANSHIP and Sputnik Platinum are of interest. The former has now slipped to a mark where he really should be capable of winning something like this while the latter makes his handicap debut having promised better to come when switched to this sphere.
