Hold up performer with four wins over timber, including around here over 2m4f last May. Not at his best this season so far but was better last month at Kilbeggan and could hit the frame here.

Decent handicap hurdler with two wins from ten starts, spent a year on the sidelines before brace of runs on the Flat last month. On a decent mark here if retaining the ability shown in 2015.

Back from 230 days off with game success over 2m4f at Wexford in April, has been hit with a 7lb hike for that and also goes up in distance but cannot be ruled out of contention.

Won a heavy ground maiden hurdle in March at Thurles over longer trip so there should be no worries about stamina, won over 2m at Down Royal last month but since been a bit flat at Bellewstown. Needs to bounce back.

Trainer remains in superb for but this 7yo hasn't won over timber since 2014 and has had his problems since. Promising run at Bellewstown over 1m6f this month gives some hope however and always a chance with champion jockey on top.

Form over hurdles this year suggests handicapper retains control for now, beaten 5½L in third over extended 3m at Roscommon a week ago and likely to hold similar aspirations now.

Sent off favourite or joint-favourite in previous five starts over hurdles without ever truly threatening to get the job done. Expensive to follow and others are more persuasive at this point.

Now ten-year-old and without a win since August 2015, went agonisingly close over 2m5f at Limerick last week, just being collared on the line having gone off 33/1. No certainty to build on that but claims if able to repeat it.

Forecasts

Dawn Raider (9/2), Conduct Yourself (9/2), Ask Susan (11/2), Wood Breizh (7/1), Coolmill (7/1), Whatsforuwontgobyu (7/1), Courtncatcher (7/1), Little Mitch (7/1), Phil The Flyer (25/1)

20:30 Killarney - 19 July 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Wood Breizh has some work to do but appeared to go better under a positive ride at Bellewstown on the Flat last time out. With Walsh on board, he's got a master on controlling tactics from the front and they could be dangerous in such circumstances. Phil The Flyer could have a say provided no ill effects surface on the back of his return from a long layoff last time while Courtncatcher might have place claims. In a race where plenty have their merits, Conduct Yourself and veteran Coolmill are also noted but last time out winner LITTLE MITCH has had a short break and might prove up to defying his new mark after a decent start to the season at Wexford in April.
  1. Little Mitch
  2. Wood Breizh
  3. Phil The Flyer
