Started his career with some promise but quickly regressed, and is still waiting for his handicap mark to catch up. Very little chance on the basis of almost all his recent performances over this trip.

Only 3lb higher in the handicap than when winning on his penultimate start at Chelmsford, but that looked a weaker race than this, and he has to prove he acts on turf making his first appearance on grass after 33 runs on the all-weather.

Not bad effort over this at Salisbury two starts ago and could be a player if managing to build on that now he's been dropped 2lb, though it's a concern that he's 0/29 on turf.

Shaped with promise in his two most recent attempts at maidens, both at Southwell, and if transferring his form from that generally specialist track to the turf, he could run a big race on handicap debut.

Showed little in three maidens over further than this. Drop in trip unlikely to make a difference and a minor role is likely on handicap debut.

Has run well in Jersey recently but that form has been contextualized by some sound beatings back in Britain, and others make far more appeal.

Has run well both times he's previously attempted this trip, and looks to be on an appealing mark with a good draw, and this could be a perfect opportunity for him to get off the mark.

Seemingly regressive since switching to handicaps and though she has the potential to be better dropped back down to this trip her form on her last two starts in particular has been too poor to inspire any confidence.

Coachella19

Has improved slightly over this trip the last twice and could prove to be better handicapped than most of these if able to continue that progression. Return to a turf track likely to be a positive.

Jungle George172
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-5| J: Robbie Walsh(7)| T: S Dixon| OR:  45

Played only a minor role in three maidens and makes his handicap debut here looking an unlikely player stepping up to this trip from 5f for the first time.

Failed to beat a single horse home in three attempts at maidens and though she predictably has a very low opening handicap mark she has it all to prove for that reason.

Forecasts

Hungarian Rhapsody (7/2), De Vegas Kid (4/1), Misu Pete (9/2), Doctor Bong (5/1), Tallulah's Quest (6/1), Coachella (6/1), Greyfriarschorista (6/1), Toolatetodelegate (33/1), National Service (33/1), Jungle George (33/1), Sniper Viper (33/1)

17:45 Ffos Las - 17 July 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

This trip often suits specialists and DE VEGAS KID has looked like he has the potential to be just that judged on his previous efforts over this distance. He has been tried over a variety of distances but has appealed most over this trip, and is young enough to suggest that some further progression could be possible off an appealing mark. Hungarian Rhapsody ran some nice races in maidens at Southwell and should be a big player on handicap debut if transferring that form onto the turf, while Coachella seems to be better handicapped than most in the field.
  1. De Vegas Kid
  2. Hungarian Rhapsody
  3. Coachella
