Age: 4|  Weight: 9-10| J: Callum Shepherd(3)| T: E De Giles| OR:  57
9/2
Ran well on his seasonal appearance at Newcastle in May, but has shown little since and is entitled to find top-weight far too much of an ask in this contest.

Indiana Dawn210
Age: 4|  Weight: 9-7| J: L P Keniry| T: R Stephens| OR:  54
10/1
Makes her seasonal reappearance having shown some promise over similar trips to this last season, but may well need this first run back and isn't done any favours by the draw.

Kingstreet Lady24
Age: 4|  Weight: 9-5| J: J F Egan| T: R J Price| OR:  52
9/2
Won her sole race over 5½f, but is seemingly trip versatile and shouldn't have any issues going this far. On a fair mark and has been showing some of her best form recently.

The Special Onet54
Age: 4|  Weight: 9-3| J: Tom Marquand| T: A Stronge| OR:  50
11/2
Yet to win a race but has gone close a few time off higher marks than this and seems likely to find this trip a minimum going forward. One to consider.

Stepping up to this trip for the first time may bring about some improvement, but he has plenty to find with most of these off a mark which will surely prove too high for him.

Zorluv45
Age: 4|  Weight: 8-12| J: T E Whelan| T: J G M O'Shea| OR:  45
40/1
Yet to find his feet despite having been tried over a wide variety of trips, and looks to have it all to do now, still looking for his first placing in a race.

Tally's Son41
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-12| J: D C Costello| T: G Harris| OR:  52
7/1
Couldn't get involved on handicap debut at Chepstow last time and had no obvious excuses. This may be slightly easier but with only a 3lb drop he is probably racing for a place at best.

Lakeskip117
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-10| J: Adam Beschizza| T: S Dixon| OR:  50
16/1
Steps back down in trip with cheek pieces applied having perhaps not seen out 1m the last twice. Still seems to lack the ability to pick up a handicap of this nature, especially off her current mark.

Swan Serenade30
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-9| J: Charlie Bennett(3)| T: J G Portman| OR:  49
12/1
Slightly inconsistent type who has been tried over a variety of trips without particularly impressing over any of them. Down in the handicap again now but still with plenty to prove.

Spare Parts13
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-9| J: S Hitchcott| T: C Hills| OR:  49
9/2
Steps back up to this trip having shown some promise over shorter, and this could bring about some further improvement, off what is quickly starting to look an appealing mark.

Horse silk
Kath's Boy19
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-5| J: Aled Beech(7)| T: A W Carroll| OR:  45
6/1
Hasn't shown much up to this stage but improved slightly over this trip last time out when shaping as if this should be a minimum for him, so is of interest off a low weight.

Lady Gwhinnyvere258
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-5| J: J Quinn| T: J L Spearing| OR:  45
25/1
Showed little in four maidens up to this point and looks set for another minor role on handicap debut given the opposition and her own form.

As with many of these, THE SPECIAL ONE is yet to get her head in front but she has acquitted herself relatively well recently in tougher races than this, and goes again over 7f, which seems to be her optimum trip. Down another 3lb, she is the suggestion, ahead of Kath's Boy, who is another who should see out this specialist distance better than most of his rivals, and Kingstreet Lady, who ran well at Chepstow two starts ago.
  1. The Special One
  2. Kath's Boy
  3. Kingstreet Lady
