Continued a run of good form with a close second over this C&D last time, rallying gamely once headed. Nudged up another 1lb for that but conditions clearly fine, and another good run can be expected.

Likes it here (three wins at the track) and is closely handicapped with Sophie P on earlier form, but does now need to bounce back from a below-par effort at Hamilton last time. Return to his favourite venue may help.

Back to form in the Carlisle Bell last time, finishing a close second, and gives the overall impression a win isn't far away. Ground to make up on Sophie P on earlier form but not completely discounted.

Not in any great form at present, arguably better at shorter than today's mile, and handicapper is being very slow in cutting hima bit of slack. It all looks a bit too much to overcome, and others preferred.

Step back up to a mile produced an improved effort last time out, running the improving Just Hiss close at York. The worry would be that he's not won since 2013, though, and on that alone, others more likely for win purposes.

Still not fully exposed, and made mincemeat of his opponents at Doncaster latest, winning with any amount in hand. That looked quite competitive, so 6lb rise not harsh, and if the rain comes, he looks a big player here.

Useful at his best and these conditions fine, but recent form has taken a nosedive and in such a hot little race as this, others make much more appeal.

Knows how to win should the opportunity arise, but those wins do tend to come in lesser company than this so although the track suits him well, he might be biting off a bit too much here.

16:30 Ayr - 17 July 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

If Just Hiss took his chance after another excellent effort at York on Saturday he would be a big danger, but preference is for the fast-improving ZABEEL PRINCE who looked a different horse at Nottingham after being gelded, and should continue to progress this season. Sophie P is doing little wrong at present and another good run can be expected, and Century Dream looks another 3-y-o with plenty yet to offer as well.
