Winner of three handicaps in 2016. Currently looks unable to live to up her current mark, earned after a career best effort in Listed company at Kempton. Stable do well here with their older horses at this time of year (3-6 plus two seconds), but hard to see her scoring at present.

Lightly raced filly by New Approach out of a Cheshire Oaks winner. Looks fairly treated on what she has achieved but gives the impression there is more to come. Stable are 12-37 with older fillies in handicaps.

Won a couple of races last year in lower grade having taken a couple of races to reach her peak. Jockey booking takes the eye but she needs to have improved over the past six months in order to be involved.

Missed the whole of 2016 and both runs this term indicate she is a long way off her best. It is possible her form in Listed company flatters her and the handicapper is warming to that view.

Rare debut winner for the yard who missed most of last season. Has returned this term in good shape and landed a modest event at Newcastle last time. More to do here but the potential is there and she looks capable of making the frame at least.

Landed her maiden at Bath and stepped up on that when chasing home White Chocolate at Goodwood. That horse has gone well off a much higher mark since and she is weighted to be competitive here. Needs to settle better than was the case on her first attempt at this trip two weeks ago.

Made heavy weather of justifying favouritism Beverley last time having failed to settle in an Oaks trial on her first run of the year. By Galileo out of a Grade Three winner in the US she is bred to be better than we have seen. One to note in the market.

Forecasts

Camerone (2/1), Stoney Broke (10/3), Dawn Horizons (7/2), Nathania (6/1), Fashion Parade (10/1), Cliff Face (14/1), Allumage (16/1)

Newmarket based handlers have monopolised the previous four renewals of this with DAWN HORIZONS and Stoney Broke spearheading the raid from HQ. The former is a classically bred filly for an in form yard who do well with their older fillies. Stoney Broke and Camerone are stepping up in class having won much more modest events last time and both have a fitness advantage over the selection. Both need to find a bit extra but that is highly possible. Camerone held an Irish Oaks entry but those plans would have been revised after her effort in a classic trial. She made hard work of scoring last time and it remains to be seen whether that effort has a positive or negative effect.
  1. Dawn Horizons
  2. Camerone
  3. Stoney Broke
