Has form at the track, tends to run his race more often that not and goes well on quick ground, so has plenty going for him. Chances despite the big weight if freshened up by a short break, but draw probably not ideal.

Frustrating hold-up performer that finds plenty of trouble in his races. Ability is there and this track and likely good pace will suit him, on a winning mark if it all drops right so can't be completely discounted.

Not a bad effort at Doncaster in April (7f) but that form stands out in an otherwise moderate series of runs this spring/summer. Hard to fancy on recent evidence and others much preferred.

Likes the track, twice placed here form three efforts and on a winning mark after a few below-par efforts. Better at Wetherby last time though, and a fast-run 6f here will help, so despite a moderate overall strike rate, may go well here.

In good form recently, took a seller at Catterick in May and has run to a similar level on two subsequent starts. All best form on sharper tracks however, and on that, others are preferred today.

Unexposed but form is already regressing, and although not disgraced on seasonal reappearance at Redcar in April, not so good since. Needs to start better and although quicker ground here should help, others look stronger.

Infrequent winner, with just the three successes from 54 starts, has placed form at the track and acts on the likely quick ground but well beaten in a claimer latest (little chance at the weights) and hard to fancy on current form.

Likes an uphill finish, has form here (a win and two places from four starts), very well handicapped on best of his form and although best days behind him now, is capable of popping up at a price. Chances if change of headgear spark him back into life.

Looked mildly progressive in the second half of last season but hasn't recaptured that form yet, despite being well backed a couple of times. Worth another try at 6f but plenty to prove now, and track may not be ideal either.

Veteran that's on the downgrade these days, but did refind some form to finish third at Hamilton recently. On a fair mark and has gone okay here in the past, so not totally discounted, but others are preferred.

Some promise on debut at Pontefract last year but little since, and takes a huge drop back in trip after trying 10f at Beverley last time. Makes little appeal here.

Hard to catch right, as a record of 18 wins in 188 starts demonstrates, and his come-from-behind style always relies on a dollop of luck in running, but is always capable of the shock when conditions are right. Has form on the track but on balance, others are preferred.

Last two runs suggest he's finally finding a bit of form, and his close second at Wetherby last time was his best effort for a long while. However, just the one win in 55 starts is more than enough to look elsewhere for the winner here.

Big prices and well beaten off in similar events lately. Hard to make a case for on recent evidence and others readily preferred.

If this had been at Hamilton, Baron Run would have been the most interesting contender as he's very well handicapped these days, and his recent win in a charity race at Doncaster showed he's still got something to offer. He may still go well, but QUESTO won with such authority last week that a penalty won't stop him if he's in the same form. Gaelic Wizard has been a grand servant to connections and has gone well for a change of headgear before, so a better effort here wouldn't surprise. Salvatore Fury has his supporters tearing their hair out more often than not, but could reward e/w support.
