5/4
Much better run on first start for this yard when giving the useful Petitville something to think about at Hexham recently, showing that neither this trip nor ground will be an issue. Has form on softer too should the rain come, and clearly a player again here.

5/1
Point-to-point winner that showed signs of promise at Aintree, running well to a point and only giving way late on. Winner there useful, and nothing like that in here, so has to be given consideration, with improvement likely.

25/1
Showed a bit of promise in a Heham bumper for previous yard, but that was back in 2015 and it's been alxl downhill since. Has joined a yard that know the time of day, but possibly one for handicaps down the line, and best watched today.

Horse silk
66/1
Only the merest hint of ability for previous yard and needs the change of scenery to have had a major effect if he's to hold any chance here.

4/1
Bit disappointing on first start for new yard when a well-backed favourite at Plumpton but looked very one paced, and no real improvement on latest start. Needs to improve on first run over hurdles but in good hands, and step up in trip likely to suit.

200/1
Tailed off and pulled up on both starts over hurdles (big prices) and has no realistic chance of success here.
No great shakes in point-to-points, and although trip would have been on the short side in a Worcester bumper last time, he didn't do enough to think he can challenge the principals here. May do better but can only be watched today.

150/1
Low-grade handicapper on the Flat, still a maiden after 19 starts and can't be realistically considered the winner here.

Night At Tarat34
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-5| J: Harry Skelton| T: D Skelton
3/1
With top yard and half-sister to Resolution Bay, a winner for Philip Hobbs last year. Some promise to be gleaned from debut in bumper here but this is a big step up in trip for hurdles debut, and on breeding it's not certain to suit.

Forecasts

Ahead of The Curve (5/4), Night At Tara (3/1), Cintex (4/1), Bere Haven (5/1), Templepoint (16/1), Betancourt (25/1), Chasing Headlights (66/1), The Greedy Boy (150/1), Keen's Token (200/1)

19:05 Uttoxeter - 11 July 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

AHEAD OF THE CURVE turned in a solid effort at Hexham last time and in a modest event, a repeat of that may be good enough. Bere Haven showed enough at Aintree to think that improvement was likely and rates the danger. The likes of Templepoint and Night At Tara both need a look in the market, and this step up in trip might be what Cintex wants too.
  1. Ahead of The Curve
  2. Bere Haven
  3. Cintex
