Unraced gelded son of Ask. Dam well beaten in two bumpers and a half-sister to the useful False Economy. Worth a check in the market on debut.
Finished runner-up in a Dingley (good) point-to-point over 2m4f in April 2017 but pulled up on hurdles debut and first outing for this yard at Gowran Park (good) last month. Worth a check in the market today.

Unraced gelding by Spadoun. Full-brother to dual winner Titian Boy and probably best watched on his belated debut in this contest.
4
Horse silk

Failed to complete in two point-to-point starts though held chances when running out three from home at Dromahane (good) last time. Worth a check in the market today.

Unraced home-bred gelding by Robin Des Pres. Half-sister to Grade 3-placed Girly Girl and worth a check in the market on debut in this.

Stepped up on her debut when finishing 15L fourth of 14 over 2m4f on good ground here in May. Interesting to see if he can repeat that effort today.

Couple of placed efforts from four outings on soft surfaces so far. Well beaten on hurdles debut last time out and likely to fare better returning to bumpers here.

Finished third in a six runner bumper at Down Royal (good) in May. Well beaten on rules debut prior to that however and more needed here.
Unraced gelded son of Oscar purchased for €25,000 as a three-year-old in June 2015. Dam ran in point-to-points and one to note on his racecourse debut today.

Beaten odds-on favourite for an extended 2m1f bumper at Ballinrobe (good) nearly a year ago. Form of that contest nothing special but represents leading connections in this.
11
Horse silk
40/1
Well beaten in an extended 2m4f Punchestown (good) maiden hurdle on his racecourse debut in May. Others hold more obvious chances here.
12
Horse silk
14/1
Respectable effort when finishing sixth at a triple figure price in a bumper at Ballinrobe (good) back in May. Previously finished well beaten and others make more appeal.
13
Horse silk
20/1
Unraced gelded son of Rudimentary. Dam placed over fences and worth a check in the market on his racecourse debut today.
14
Horse silk

Unraced daughter of Court Cave cost €5,000 as a three-year-old. Dam placed twice in point-to-points and wears a tongue tie for today's debut.

OPTICAL CONFUSION was running well prior to running out in a point-to-point on his second start in that sphere back in May and he can get off the mark at the first time of asking under rules here. West Burma proved to be a disappointment when beaten on debut at Ballinrobe a year ago and he can claim second in this contest ahead of Joseph O'Brien's Thermistocles who was a relatively expensive purchase at the sales a couple of years ago.
  1. Optical Confusion
  2. West Burma
  3. Thermistocles
