Disappointing to see him competing at this level given the promise shown early in his career. Won here off 15lb higher in 2015 and different headgear has yet to produce results. Made some late headway at Newcastle last time but he may need further than this nowadays. Due to be partnered by an apprentice who has been earning rave reviews lately.

His manner of victory last time suggested he was a long way ahead of the handicapper as he won with more in hand than the 6L margin suggested. A top apprentice is able to claim 3lb in this and the pair promise to be hard to beat. Mysterial is a front-runner who has scored here under this rider. From a yard in form and with a visor to assist he represents good each-way value at the forecast odds.
