More consistent than most in this grade she won ay Musselburgh last year over 7f and produced a career best to win after a nine week break over 6f at Catterick in April. Two runs since have shown her to be in good form still although one run was over too far she shaped well enough last time over 6f after going off too hard. One of the more likely types in this and a C&D winner.

Yet to win a race and was handed a stiff looking mark for his first run in a handicap last year. Has shown a little ability this year and didn't run badly here in May travelling better than unusual over a mile and gets dropped another 1lb here to a career low.

Form so far has been modest with both his handicap runs being below the level that he showed in maidens. Very much below form last time at Hamilton over 6f after five months off and best watched here.

She is actually a half-sister to three winners including the useful Enlace and she did have three quick runs to qualify her for handicaps although she failed to show much on debut at Hamilton over a mile. The soft ground may not have suited her there though and back in trip on better ground may see her do better.

Makes her debut for this yard having previously been with Gay Kelleway where she did show some form and may well be better suited by this trip having run over shorter the last twice. Ran her best race so far over this trip on the AW at Lingfield and well worth watching in the market for a yard that do well here.

Two years and counting since this one last graced the winners enclosure and just ticking over of late including when running here yesterday over 1m2f.

Another one in this who hasn't troubled the judge in an age and given his recent form would seem unlikely to here either as he continues to show very little form of any note.

Very lightly raced over the past few years and both starts this year have shown very little that are likely to make her of interest here and others much preferred.

Still a maiden and looking to be struggling for form of late including the last twice and here yesterday over 1m2f (finished ninth) and can only be watched here.

of a decent seller last year at York and looked to have lost her way after that although there was a glimmer of hope given by her run at Redcar last time. Upped in trip to7f for the first time she showed there might be something left off a basement mark for a yard that can turn this sort around.

16:55 Ayr - 10 July 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

The first of two divisions of the apprentice handicap with the second looking to be a slightly deeper affair and most of the interest here will centre on GREAT COLACI who looks sure to keep on improving and may well complete his hat-trick here. Captain Peaky looks as though he can get in the mix along with Blue Jacket who is a consistent sort in this grade. Of the others New Delhi can be given another chance with her pedigree looking as though she could be better than this although the ground might need to stay as it is to suit her.
  1. Great Colaci
  2. Blue Jacket
  3. New Delhi
