32.,000 guineas yearling and half-brother to winners including useful Flat performer Rodrigo de Torres and five-time winner Rock of Leon. Has shown ability in a couple of bumpers but should find a few of these too good. Stable have enjoyed a good run lately.

40,000 gns son of Mastercraftsman looked green on his Redcar debut but acquitted himself well in fourth. Finished a couple of lengths behind Heron that day and no surprise should he get a lot closer here.

125,000 gns son of Mastercraftsman has improved with each run. May need to do so again as some of the more lightly raced types are not far behind him and possess more scope.

Behind in both starts to date and faces another stiff task. Unlikely to be rushed by his patient handler and will be one of the outsiders here.

Well-related Lawman colt who cost 45,000 gns and is receiving typically considerate handling by his trainer. Hard to fancy for this but worth watching for future handicaps.

11,000 gns purchase and representing a yard that rarely have one ready first time. The market is usually informative when they do.

100,000 gns purchase who caught the eye on his debut here last month when missing the break before making late headway. Only has 2L to find with Chief Craftsman, and with the yard's horses coming on considerably for a run this year, that is a strong possibility.

Son of Quality Road who looked green on his Redcar debut when no match for a more experienced and heavily backed rival. Looked in need of the run beforehand and had Chartbuster 2L behind and there should be little between them again. Stable are 8-28 in the past couple of weeks.

Runner-up in a below average Sandown maiden last time and the third has been beaten at Bath since. Looked green and showed enough to suggest he might find a race in the near future. Stable are 32-133 over five years and 3-6 in maidens in July around here. Entered at Tattersalls sales next week.

The form of his Wolverhampton debut turned out well and he was accordingly well supported on his Windsor return. Could only finish fourth but shaped as though this trip would suit. Trainer is 6-19 in maidens here at this time of year.

Cape Cross newcomer out of a moderate dam who has produced one Fibresand winner. Stable have had just two winners, but also seven runners-up, from their last 30 runners during the past fortnight.

Looks a typical late developer for the yard. Has shown some positive signs but not enough to suggest he is ready for this. Handicaps will be more his forte over the next few months.

15:05 Doncaster - 7 July 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Musaaahim and Percy B Shelley both represent yards that do well in maidens here and in particular at this time of year. It is possible to pick holes in their form and there are more worthy alternatives. Heron and Chartbuster shaped well in the same Redcar maiden and should give good accounts once again, especially the former who hails from a yard in form. Chief Craftsman sets the standard but he looks vulnerable to an improver and, in that regard, HELF looks the answer. The Hannon colt only has to find 2L with Chief Craftsman having missed the break and looking in need of the run. The form of that race looks stronger than those contested by his other rivals.
