Half-brother to useful performer Muharrib from family of Coronation Stakes winner Maid's Causeway. Sales price dropped markedly (to 36,000gns) when re-offered as a yearling, which sounds a note of caution.

Sepoy gelding who is the first foal of an unraced mare by Danehill Dancer. Limited appeal on pedigree, and only of interest if attracting market support.

Runner-up on four of his seven starts, and returned to form when 9 lengths second of 11 to A Little Bit Me in a 7f handicap at Listowel last time; claims with a repeat, and should have speed to cope with drop in trip.

Runner-up twice over 6f at the Curragh last year, and clear form pick on those efforts, but below form on both 3-y-o outings in cheekpieces, and hopes rest on blinkers reviving his fortunes now.

Standout effort in maidens when third over 6f at Naas in April; below that form when fifth of 17 there last time, but that form working out well, and she may well appreciate drop to 5f having faded late there.

Well held in handicap at Fairyhouse on penultimate start from modest mark, but seemed to show improved form when third in a maiden over C&D last week. Place claims if running to same level now.

Half-sister to useful 13f winner in US, but faded tamely on sole outing over 7f last year. May be better than that, but drop in trip not an obvious move on pedigree, and best watched.

5/6
Runner-up in maidens at Navan and the Curragh on first two starts this year, and ran respectably when third on handicap bow at Cork last time. This looks easier, and she looks the one to beat on balance of form.

Forecasts

Snowstar (5/6), Ice Canyon (7/2), Comhghairdeas (7/1), Rosa Klebb (8/1), Daisy's Flyer (10/1), Smart Stinger (16/1), Chanamee (33/1), Amazing One (33/1)

18:15 Tipperary - 6 July 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

SNOWSTAR is readily preferred of the Godolphin duo, and she did as well as could be expected against experienced older sprinters at Cork on her latest start. She is preferred to Comhghairdeas, who has the speed and running style to cope with a drop back to 5f, while Daisy's Flyer faded late at Naas on her latest start, and is another who should benefit from this trip.
  1. Snowstar
  2. Comhghairdeas
  3. Daisy's Flyer
