12/1
Won a point-to-point earlier in the year but a largely inconsistent sort, as seen when trained by Richard Newland last year. Back below his last winning mark now though and has run well in previous attempts at this trip.

Won by 10L on his fencing debut at Uttoxeter in May 2016, and backed that up when following up at Fontwell the following month. Not disgraced when runner-up behind a well-handicapped rival back at Uttoxeter but well out of sorts when pulled up at Stratford in August when last in action. This mark not beyond him but entitled to need the run.

Consistent sort in good form for the majority of last season. Best effort coming at Sedgefield in soft ground over 2m5f in February. Stays this trip well and versatile ground wise so can't be discounted provided he comes on for his most recent effort and first-time blinkers have the desired effect. Trainer won this last year.

Off the mark at the second attempt for this yard with a win over hurdles at Huntingdon in April but failed to justify favouritism in follow up bid. On a fair mark returned to this sphere and enough evidence to suggest he may have more improvement in him. Interesting runner.

Useful hurdler on his day but his jumping can let him down a little in this sphere. Proven on all ground and this trip no concern but others arrive with more convincing claims and his jumping was particularly poor last time out.

Well suited to 2m7f to 3m on a sound surface and only just headed last time having done all the donkey work out front. Has two course wins to his name and gives the impression he has one in him off this mark so he's another who has to be considered provided he turns up in the same form as his last outing.

Won three of her last five starts and judging by the convincing nature of her latest win at Newton Abbot, she's not done progressing just yet. Carries a penalty for that success but due to go up further when the assessor has his say and proven in these conditions; holds strong claims on form.

Forecasts

Dr Robin (5/2), Midnight Monty (3/1), Prettylittlething (4/1), Clubs Are Trumps (11/2), Bertie Lugg (10/1), Cut The Corner (12/1), Billy Two Tongues (16/1), Dawnieriver (16/1)

14:50 Worcester - 5 July 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

PRETTYLITTLETHING is due to go up another 3lb when the handicapper gets his way and she looks like one of the few in the line up still improving; provided she returns in the same form, she'll be tough to beat. Clubs Are Trumps was unlucky not to win here last time and Dr Robin represents last year's winning connections of this contest. The former is narrowly preferred for the places with Aidan Coleman back in the saddle.
