Not beaten far over C&D last time and is raised 2lb as a result; multiple course winner and doesn't seem completely weighted out of this, and so could go close again.

5lb lower than a C&D win in 2015 but hasn't looked the same horse recently and has failed to place in his last 14 races.

Previously won in selling company at this course over slightly shorter, but that is his only victory for his current trainer so far, and needs a first time visor to make a substantial difference in order to have a say here.

One of his better efforts since joining his current trainer came at this course, and though he could do with a little more assistance before being considered genuinely well-handicapped, he should be able to battle for at least a place.

C&D winner but has looked handicapped to her best recently, and has plenty to prove back on the all-weather after a 15L defeat into eighth in a similar race at Newmarket last time.

Only 2/62 but has gone close twice over this C&D this year alone and is now slightly lower in the handicap than on both those occasions. His run at Newcastle last time has to be a concern, though.

Yet to get off the mark, and though some of his best performances over shorter have come at this trip, he has plenty to do to prove that he stays as far as this.

Drops in both class and trip compared to his recent outings, and though those are positives he still has questions to answer, including over his handicap mark and suitability to all-weather tracks.

Narrow winner at Lingfield last time out (1m, standard), having also run well over this C&D on her previous outing. Up 2lb but that seems fair and she should go close again if overcoming a hardly ideal draw.

Form has tailed off somewhat recently but he has always seemed particularly ineffective on the all-weather, with none of his six victories coming on a synthetic surface. Has too much to prove to be considered.

Consistent sort who has been running well in similar handicaps to this without looking a genuine threat. May need some help from the handicapper before getting his head in front for the first time.

No win over a trip as short as this since January 2014 and made only a moderate debut for a new trainer at Chelmsford last time out.

Veteran who seems mostly past his best and only to have a chance in ever lower grade handicaps that this one, though he did put in a semi-encouraging effort over C&D in March.

The answer here may lie with VARUN'S BRIDE, who has been running well recently, including a narrow victory at Lingfield last time for which a 2lb rise in the weights could prove to be lenient in time. Previously placed over this C&D, she seems at her best on the all-weather and can continue that trend by landing the spoils here. Munaawib clearly enjoys this course given his record here and is feared most, ahead of Muzaahim, who may find this too much of an ask to win, but should be able to place on the basis of his recent form.
  1. Varun's Bride
  2. Munaawib
  3. Muzaahim
