Disappointing last time when beaten at odds-on at Wetherby (5½f, soft), having put in two solid efforts prior to that. May not have handled the soft conditions there and needs to do so better now.

Showcasing gelding who was sold privately for £30,000 as a 2yo. Winning half-sister was far more effective over intermediate distances and the same could prove to be true for this debutant.

Invincible Spirit colt who cost €190,000 as a foal. May appreciate a little further in time on breeding, but has an interesting enough pedigree to play a major part on debut.

Bahamian Bounty colt out of a Cape Cross mare who fetched £12,000 as a 2yo. Probably the least appealing newcomers in terms of pedigree and connections.

Showed plenty of improvement when stepped up to 6f on her second start at Newmarket last time, and can continue that progression now kept at the same trip.

Forecasts

Moseeb (10/11), Queen Penn (11/4), Dontgiveuponbob (5/1), Mr Greenlight (8/1), Foxrush Take Time (14/1)

Moseeb is an interesting newcomer and had a hefty enough price tag with the pedigree to back it up, but Saeed bin Suroor has sounded lukewarm at best about his juveniles, and though it remains to be seen if that will be confirmed on the track preference is for QUEEN PENN. She clearly took a while to grasp what was required on debut and put in a much better effort when upped in trip for her second start. Receiving weight all around due to the fillies' allowance, she can continue that progress to get off the mark at the third time of asking. Dontgiveuponbob may have been found out by the ground at Wetherby last time and isn't discounted if it dries out here.
  1. Queen Penn
  2. Moseeb
  3. Dontgiveuponbob
