Off the mark at the third attempt when forcing a dead-heat with Guzman in a 6F novice stakes at this track early this month. That was due reward for some earlier promising efforts, but he now concedes weight to all of his rivals as he steps up in trip to 7F.
Slowly into stride and ran green throughout when a well held seventh of eight behind Guzman & Benadalid over 6F here earlier this month. Renews rivalry with the Fairhurst trained runner on better terms, and with both the experience and the step up in trip expected to suit, but plenty on his hands nevertheless.
Soon outpaced and always down the field on debut at Windsor last month (6F good to soft). Needs to have progressed since then in order to play a hand on AW debut.
Has plenty of experience, and has posted a couple of decent efforts to date. His Newmarket debut (5F good to firm) was a pleasing one (beaten a neck), and he bounced back from a moderate run on soft ground to finish third to Great Prospector (Tale of Tails runner up) in a 6F contest at Nottingham a fortnight ago. Bred to stay 7F.
Outperformed his 100/1 odds on debut at Nottingham (6F good to firm) a fortnight ago when splitting Great Prospector and Kit Marlowe. Visually appeared as if he would be suited by this extra furlong, with his Newcastle born trainer bidding to get Northumberland Plate week off to a flying start.
No match for De Bruyne Horse on debut at Ripon (6F good) in May, but was making eye catching strong late headway when going down by a neck to Jackontherocks at Ayr (6F soft) a couple of weeks ago. Stable in form and this step up in trip looks ideal.
Unraced Aussie Rules filly out of Gift Of Love and cost £5,800 as a yearling. A half-sister to Norse Magic, this second foal is best watched against more experience rivals.
Unraced fourth foal by Casamento out of Inez and fetched €75,000 as a yearling. Has a pedigree full of winners (half-sister to Spectre and Stacey Sutton) and commands respect on debut for a stable which is renowned for producing winning juveniles.
Unraced seventh foal by Monsieur Bond out of Melandre. Trainer knows the bloodline well, and this filly is a sister to Stanghow and Rock Of Monaco and a half-sister to First Please and Lucky Lodge. Likely to do better with time and experience.

A highly competitive Novice Stakes to kick off the three-day Northumberland Plate Festival which sees previous course winner Benadalid concede weight to all nine of his rivals. Tale of Tails and Kit Marlowe locked horns at Nottingham a fortnight ago, and with certainty will be much closer in the market than they were on that afternoon. Both horses should be suited by the step up in trip and are likely to be on the premises. However, with the John Quinn horses in decent order and WEELLAN being a major eye-catcher at Ayr earlier this month, that horse gets the nod on his synthetics debut.
