Winner over a mile who just failed over 1m2f at Sandown last time. Should have little difficulty over this trip. Stable enjoying a good season and it would be no surprise to see him find that bit more needed to take this.

320,000 gns son of Galileo. Successful on Chepstow debut having run green and given himself plenty to do from the home turn. Made the ground up impressively under a sympathetic ride from today's pilot and looked to have bags of improvement in him. Back in third was an 85 rated horse who always finds something too good so the form is hard to evaluate.

Made all to land his maiden here in April before stepping up in class for his handicap debut. Ridden with more restraint that day and was travelling well enough for a long way. The winner stole the race that day but he had some good horses behind him. Looks sure to have learned from the experience and stable 8-21 in past fortnight.

Picked up a Redcar maiden in April and that form has been discredited since. Ran in Listed company last year and held an Irish 2,000 Guineas entry so is clearly thought capable of better than that effort suggests. Top jockey booked by trainer who is 0-10 this month.

Progressing in maidens but looks held by Stone The Crows judged on their April clash here. Stable 3-14 in past fortnight.

Nine-race maiden looks exposed in this lineup. Produced his best run of the campaign at Goodwood 12 days ago but this is a much better race.

Great Sound created a favourable impression on his Chepstow debut when he looked backward. Fran Berry gave him a marvellous ride to get him home from an unpromising position. He could turn out to be above average but he will be asked more serious questions in this contest. Here And Now is classically bred and the form of his Chester success is working out well enough to make him one for the shortlist. On To Victory represents an in form team and should appreciate this trip but our preference is for STONE THE CROWS. Roger Charlton has his horses in excellent form and this son of Cape Cross made all to score here two months ago. He holds Turnpike Trip on that form and the way he travelled at Haydock last time caught the eye. The all the way winner produced a telling kick 2f out and he still looked green when asked to pick up and cover the move. In the end he could only manage second with some highly regarded types behind. Connections will have learned plenty from that and more use may be made of him here.
