10/3
€110,000 Exceed And Excel colt out of a well-related dam who won over 1m2f and has produced winning miler Cajoled. Likely to need further than this in time but represents a yard with a good crop of juveniles this term.

Bought for 60,000 gns and a half-brother to a couple of winners. Pedigree suggests he will be better served by further than this. Looks the stable no.2 based on jockey bookings.

11,000 gns son of Champs Elysees out of a dam who was a winning sprinter and from the family of Kings Stand winner Sayf El Arab. Half-brother to Dakota Gold who has won over 5f-6f. Yard 7-111 with juveniles on turf in last five seasons.

48,000 gns son of Fast Company and half-brother to several middle distance winners. Yard have won with two of the nine juveniles to have raced this term and jockey has a five year record of 6-26 for them when partnering their youngsters. One to note in the market.

Oasis Dream colt, cost 50,000 gns as a yearling. Looked green on debut over an inadequate trip. Unnerving to see cheekpieces applied so early in his career.

Horse silk
25/1
€65,000 half-brother to a couple of winning juveniles. Yard's youngsters are just 3-83 this year but he is an expensive buy for them so worth a market check just in case.

Horse silk
33/1
€25,000 son of Champs Elysees out of an Italian dam who won over 5f-1m. Half-brother to smart sprinter Golden Amber and two winners in Italy. Sire's progeny tend to improve with time and yard get fewer juvenile winners these days.

Age: 2|  Weight: 9-5| J: Jim Crowley| T: C Hills
11/4
Cost 55,000 guineas as a juvenile and is a half-brother to several winners, notably the smart middle-distance performer Change The World. Unfancied on debut in a Newbury maiden won by an 80/1 shot. Showed clear signs of ability and that experience will serve him well here.

Horse silk
40/1
Ninth foal of a dam who has produced such useful middle-distance types as Cape Amber, Champage Champ and Warneford plus Listed winning sprint juvenile Nyramba. In form yard are 5-17 in past fortnight but their youngsters tend to need a run.

Horse silk
12/1
€33,000 son of Rock Of Gibraltar and first foal of a dam who was a winner in France. Yard have landed divisions of this in the past so one to note in the market as his pedigree looks more precocious than that of his stablemate.

Horse silk
9/1
Mastercraftsman colt cost 90,000 gns as a yearling and is a full-brother to the Listed winning mare Carnachy. Supported on debut when ground was probably too soft. Yard's juveniles can be expected to improve for a run and landed this in 2014 with Marcano who was having his second outing.

Horse silk
11/1
€70,000 half-brother to three winners including Group Three winner Danak. Yard have won with two of the eight turf juveniles to have raced so one to note in the ring.

Forecasts

Lifeboat (11/4), Al Jellaby (10/3), Christopher Wood (5/1), Master Grey (9/1), Preacher Man (11/1), Macaque (12/1), Berkshire Royal (16/1), Champs De Reves (16/1), Beringer (18/1), Istanbul Pasha (25/1), Landue (33/1), Livingstones Quest (40/1), Colorado Dream (66/1)

14:10 Salisbury - 28 June 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Six of the last ten winners of this have started at less than 3/1 so the market will be an obvious guide. LIFEBOAT appears the logical selection based on available information given a decent draw and the benefit of a promising introductory run. Amongst the newcomers Al Jellaby, Macaque, Preacher Man, Istanbul Pasha and Chrisopher Wood make most appeal on pedigree. Master Grey should come on for his debut and will be a different proposition on this faster ground.
  1. Lifeboat
  2. Master Grey
  3. Macaque
