Six of the last seven runnings of this have gone to southern raiders and WAR OF SUCCESSION is given the vote to add to that roll of honour. Andrew Balding's gelding has been a little disappointing so far this term, but the ground looks to have been a valid excuse last time and this looks a weak enough race to get him off the mark, with blinkers a probable positive.
