In good form and shot up the ratings after winning at Wetherby and York - held in a better race than this back on the Knavesmire latest but was far from disgraced. Personal best now required but is a tough campaigner that can ensure they go a good gallop.

Returned in good heart this season and has sound claims on recent evidence. Not won since 2014, however, and may just need to drop a few more pounds in the weights before he can truly be considered to be on a competitive mark.

Had a good spell as a juvenile but was limited to just a couple of outings last season. Another that looks to be in the grip of the handicapper just now though.

Effective over 7f but not won since 2013 and is still 2lb higher than his last winning mark. Also debatable whether this flat racing surface will bring the best out of him.

Potentially well handicapped and dangerous to dismiss now he has a few runs behind him this season. Third over C&D on seasonal debut reads well in the context of this race and place claims at least on that effort. Any cut in the ground would boost his chances significantly.

Very well handicapped but has been out of form this season. Probably best watched unless the market indicates otherwise.

Won a maiden on good to soft at Haydock last year and was kept busy with 11 runs during the campaign. Best effort in a handicap when third over 1m here from a mark of 81; but has been revitalised since switching to his current yard, so may have a little more to offer. One to bear in mind.

Plummeted in the ratings but is still hard to fancy on the evidence of this season's poor form posted up to press. Best watched.

Yard respected and back on a winning mark. Respectable effort when just ahead of Sakhee's Return at York latest; but has to build on that and has a bit to find with a few of these. Also needs to better his personal best by quite some way.

Forecasts

Flyboy (4/1), Chaplin Bay (9/2), Horsted Keynes (5/1), Theodorico (5/1), Qeyaadah (11/2), Truth Or Dare (13/2), Sakhee's Return (10/1), Related (20/1), Jacob Black (66/1)

14:40 Redcar - 24 June 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

A tough one to call but THEODORICO has already won twice this season and may still have a bit more in the locker. He is a toughened campaigner that has a touch of class about him and as this is a drop in class for him, it would be no surprise to see him get back to winning ways. Sakhee's Return may be suited if there is any rain around before the off, while Flyboy seems to have been revitalised by joining the Richard Fahey set-up and would be dangerous to underestimate. Chaplin Bay needs a personal best but certainly merits consideration if the market suggests he is up to the task.
  1. Theodorico
  2. Sakhee's Return
  3. Chaplin Bay
