Cost €38,000 both as a foal and as a yearling. Full brother to 7f-1m½f AW winner Big Sylv and half-brother to three winners, including Dandys Perier (6f-7f AW inc at two). Dam's best effort was over 1m and she is a half-sister to a 1m Italian Listed winner and a 5f-1m winner. Not as eyecatching as some for this trainer but market check advised on debut.

Not a bad effort on debut in a Chester maiden last month (6f, good to firm). That was arguably a stronger contest and he also looked as though he would benefit for a step up in trip as well as the run, so should show improvement this time.

£45,000 private breeze-up purchase in April. Second foal whose dam won over 1m6f on the Fibresand and is a half-sister to 1m1f Group Three winner Tarfah, dam of 2,000 Guineas/Derby winner Camelot, out of a 1m2f Listed-winning half-sister to Listed winners over 1m-1m5½f and 1m3½f. Likely to be better for this run and when stepped up in trip.

Never got competitive in an educational debut run at Newmarket last month (6f, good to soft). Should improve for the experience and for this extra furlong and more than likely that he will handle faster ground. Not ruled out.
€85,000 foal and half-brother to three winners from 5f-1m½f, including Listed and one as a juvenile. Dam won over 7f and is a full-sister to 7f Group Three and 1m½f US Grade Three winner Thrilling Day. Stable's juveniles have enjoyed a good season thus far and he looks one of the more likely winners on pedigree.

Cost 44,000gns as a foal and that rose to €110,000 as a yearling. Half-brother to six winners including over 7f at two/Group Three, 1m at two and another over 7f. Dam is an unraced half-sister to 1m2f Group Three winner Quest For Honor. Page reads well and stable's juveniles keep popping up, so a market check is suggested.

Forecasts

King's Proctor (11/4), Iconic Sunset (3/1), Chai Chai (3/1), Zoffalee (4/1), Albishr (8/1), Dark Acclaim (14/1)

19:35 Haydock - 24 June 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

King's Proctor perhaps looks the pick of the debutantes on paper and is likely to make a nice start to his career, while Zoffalee and Albishr certainly merit markets checks, However, experience might make a difference here and CHAI CHAI ran reasonably well first time out at Chester in what was probably an above average maiden. He is the suggestion to come good this time, although Iconic Sunset is certainly not dismissed.
  1. Chai Chai
  2. King's Proctor
  3. Iconic Sunset
