All four of her wins have been over C&D, her latest being last season from today's mark. Good ground or slower is ideal for her and although she has a poor draw to overcome, it would be a surprise if she were not very heavily involved again today.

Has won over C&D on fast ground and after a period in the doldrums he looked to be coming back to form last time at Leicester. From the same mark today he looks a leading player.

1-26, with that win and his best other form being over 1m. Looks plenty high enough in the weights for this and will need a rattling good gallop if his proven stamina is going to be brought to bear on the contest.

Ran well in defeat from this mark at Musselburgh (7f, good to firm) last time. Not the best of draws here, nor is he the easiest to win with, but certainly has each-way claims at the very least if able to reproduce that latest effort.

Has been plying his trade over staying trip until dropped right back to this distance over C&D on his debut for this trainer a couple of weeks ago. Soft ground may have helped to bring his stamina into play there, so might need more on this faster surface, but otherwise he looks an interesting player from the same mark.

3lb higher than when scoring over this trip (soft) at Carlisle last time and already has a C&D win to his name when there was cut in the ground. This is slightly stronger than that Carlisle contest and whether he has the ability to bridge the gap is far from certain.

0-6, the closest he has gone to winning being in a 6f Ripon maiden last year for Hugo Palmer. Has not got remotely close to that form for either trainer or on his last two starts since switching to this one and cannot be recommended on recent evidence.

Has won at up to 1m1f and has plenty of decent form to his name from higher marks as recently as last season when with Richartd Fahey. Not yet able to show that for this yard and is on a dangerous looking mark for his first try over 7f since 2014.

Scored over this trip at Musselburgh (good) in October, but not seen since being last of 12, beaten 21L at Newcastle on his next run almost eight months ago. Has won over C&D some years ago, but recent history suggests that he is probably too high in the handicap right now.

Back to form in recent outings, including a 6f win here (good) earlier in the month and a good effort in defeat over today's trip at Musselburgh last time. She races from the same mark again today and if she can make the most of her inside draw then she could be a serious candidate.

Comes into this on the same mark as when beaten just a neck over 6f (soft) here last July. Well held in two All Weather runs since, but can go very well fresh and sees out every yard of this trip, so still entitled to be shortlist material.

2-35 and without success since 2015, or in any handicap on turf. Raised 4lb despite being comfortably held over this trip at Musselburgh recently and not easy to fancy.

21:15 Ayr - 23 June 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

A tricky contest to bring down the curtain on the card. Royal Duchess absolutely loves it here and she looks set to go well again, though her draw is a potential sticking point and preference is for DECLAMATION. Alistair Whillans' gelding can go well when freshened up, as is the case here, and is also on a very competitive mark. Sea Of Green and Favourite Treat each has claims, if able to make the most of their good draws, while Magistral is feared and Sea Of Green not ruled out.
