Consistent performer who has already won twice over similar trips this season. Up another 1lb despite being held last time and probably needs a career best to win this.
Group-placed when in Italy some time ago and was hurdling with Paul Nicholls until lat time when he won a Wolverhampton claimer (1m4f, AW) and has now moved yards. Gave weight and a beating to an 80-rated performer in that claimer, so mark looks reasonable, but will have to be somewhere near his best again to follow up.
Both wins have been at Wolverhampton. Stays 2m, but is likely to get the strong pace that he will want here and despite being nudged up 2lb for his latest effort he is still improving and far from ruled out.
Has three wins here to his name, including one over C&D. Acts well on fast ground and went close here when that was the going two starts ago. 2lb higher for this, but more than likely that he is going to pop up soon.
Stays this far, although yet to win over the trip. Runner-up over C&D on soft at last month's Dante meeting and ran no sort of race at Musselburgh over 1m6f last time. Up 4lb for this, which won't make things any easier, but has a good draw.
Consistent performer who has racked up 11 wins, including here over 2m2f some years ago. Best on a sound/fast surface and has already got two wins to his name this year over today's trip, though ran no sort of race over C&D last time in a 0-90 and this is a tougher contest.
Won over both this trip and 1m6f at Southwell in March and will need every yard of this to be seen to best effect. Good draw, but high enough in the weights still in spite of a 3lb drop, although can make the running and not ruled out if he can set his own fractions.
Won back-to-back races at Haydock in May 2016 (good to firm/good to soft) and has paid for that at the hands of the handicapper since, creeping further and further up the weights, especially on the AW (on which he is slightly better). Sees out this trip and can still be competitive from this mark.
Tends to be at his best on a sound/slower surface, so any rain would be a boon. 1lb higher here than when winning a class four by 6L at Ripon (1m4f, good) in September and looked back to something like his best last time. Good draw here and should be thereabouts.
Goes on most ground, including that forecast and has won eight races from 7f-1m2f. The last of those was from 10lb higher last season. Now tried over this trip for the first time and there have to be doubts over both his recent form and his stamina going into this.
Stays 2m but has plenty of success at this trip to his name. Now 3lb below his last win which was almost a year ago and showed signs he was coming back to form last time. Will need to be firing on all cylinders at this level.

CHARISMATIC MAN has done all his winning on the AW so far and has stamina as a forte but, with a likely strong pace on here, he is given a chance to score having been raised just 2lb for a positive effort last time out at Kempton. Former C&D scorer Chancery is certainly not ruled out easily and has been running well enough lately to suggest his time could be coming again soon. This trip is probably just about as short as Samtu would want things but, from a good job, he's a danger to all if getting to dictate matters at the head of affairs.
