Respectable form last year not been built upon so far this campaign. Needs to stop the rot quickly and has a lot to prove this afternoon.

Badly hampered leaving the stalls last time, so can be forgiven that effort. Better judged on previous form on the AW, which gives her place claims if she can adapt to racing on turf and gets a clear run this time around.

Yard does well here but improvement needed after modest effort over C&D last time out. Dropping to a very handy mark, so may be one to keep on the right side when she shows a bit more interest.

Trip and ground not issues but was a disappointing favourite in a seller last time out and a lot more is required in this better class of company. Draw not ideal either. Best watched.

Poor effort over 1m last time out; may have needed the run on seasonal debut though. Best effort to date came over an extended 5f, so will be interesting to see how the market reacts. Gets a bonus point for having previous experience of this course.

Form in 7f maidens was only modest but better effort when dropped a furlong at Wolverhampton latest. Didn't really look at ease on that occasion but still managed an improved effort. Needs to settle better here but the stronger pace may suit and interesting to see how she fares.

Back on the same mark as when winning over an extended 5f at Brighton last September but needs to better the effort posted on seasonal debut (well held by Zambezi Queen), which was also her first start for her current yard. A lot to prove just now.

Forecasts

Zambezi Queen (7/4), Pastfact (9/4), Black Bubba (11/4), Opening Time (4/1), Mahna Mahna (5/1), Harlequin Rose (7/1), Tooty Fruitti (7/1), Delagate This Lord (7/1), Three C's (9/1), Swan Serenade (12/1)

16:45 Bath - 17 June 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

There was a lot to like about the manner in which Zambezi Queen quickened away from her field last time out and she will be a tough nut to crack despite being set to race from a 10lb higher mark. However, DELEGATE THIS LORD also caught the eye on his latest start and, given that he may have thrived since his recent switch in yards, the Delegator gelding represents a fair betting prospect in an open little contest. Opening Time also appeals as one that can improve over this trip, while Mahna Mahna may also do better now the emphasis is on speed having failed to do herself justice by running with the choke out over 6f last time.
  1. Delagate This Lord
  2. Zambezi Queen
  3. Opening Time
