Not the most straightforward sort in the line up and drawn out on the wing probably not ideal but she's useful when everything drops right and this jockey rides the course well. Interesting to see whether any money arrives.

Faced an impossible task in the Nell Gwyn stakes last time out. This is more realistic but she doesn't look anything out of the ordinary and is flattered by her previous effort to finish fourth in a Group 3 at Ascot last summer. Stiff test for her handicap debut is eased by a 5lb claimer in the saddle.

Looks a little better on the AW than she does on turf but effective over this trip in good to firm ground. Looks a little vulnerable from a handicapping perspective but jockey is worth his 3lb claim and she should bounce back from a poor run in softer conditions here last time.

Won over the minimum trip at Chester last year but couldn't back that effort up in the Weatherby's Super Sprint at Newbury when last seen. Absence since is a bit of a concern and entitled to need this.

Typically consistent sort for this yard who put up a good show from the front at Goodwood last time out. Looks a little vulnerable from a handicapping perspective but she's a game sort and her rivals wouldn't want to give her an easy lead.

Won a Class 3 contest at Salisbury last year but form of that race looks a little below par for the grade and she has shown very little on her two subsequent starts. Entitled to need her first run of the year but trainer can ready them off a break and jockey has a good strike-rate around here (15.25%). Market confidence should be noted.

Winner on second start at Haydock after a promising run at that same course on her debut. Probably needed her comeback run but return to turf and a shorter trip ought to suit and looks feasibly handicapped. Wears first-time cheekpieces.

Inconsistent sort who bounced back at Chester last time and seems to go well around tight tracks, having won there before and on Lingfield's AW. Needs a career best to win this and no certainty to turn up in the same form. First-time blinkers applied and useful claimer in the saddle.

Good third of 13 here on debut and followed that up with a win in a Chelmsford maiden last year. Some promise when unfancied in her comeback run at Doncaster two starts back and built on that when she went close at Ripon latest. Gone up 2lb for that effort but she's probably the stable's first-string and she still unexposed. Interesting runner for stable who won this last year.

Very consistent sort who steps back up in trip for the first time in a while. Hard to imagine she is particularly well-handicapped and needs the step up in trip to bring out some improvement if she is to be considered for win purposes.

Forecasts

The Feathered Nest (11/4), Sainted (11/4), Queen In Waiting (7/2), Southern Belle (7/1), Eartha Kitt (15/2), Fruit Salad (8/1), Tallulah Rose (12/1), Turanga Leela (14/1), Shamsaya (14/1), Shypen (20/1), Hope Solo (25/1), Jameerah (25/1)

16:05 York - 16 June 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

JAMEERAH is yet to show much form on turf but provided that the ground continues to dry out she may be worth chancing despite a disappointing run at Thirsk on her comeback run in soft ground. Simon Crisford is capable of getting his horses fit after a lay-off and Shamsaya is an interesting runner with an eye-catching jockey booking. Eartha Kitt was probably in need of her comeback run and is likely to do better here in first-time cheekpieces.
  1. Jameerah
  2. Shamsaya
  3. Eartha Kitt
