Well beaten over both 7f (AW) and this trip (Windsor, good) in two maidens so far and it would take a significant leap of faith to see him coming good here. Likely to do better when handicapping.
First sight of the racecourse today for this half-brother to three winners over 5f-6f, out of an unraced half-sister to three prolific winners, mainly over sprint trips, although one did win over 1m. Looks best watched on debut.
€6,000 yearling. Second foal of an unraced half-sister to useful 1m1f-1m4½f winner Double Bluff and useful 1m5½f-2m winner Sunblazer, from the family of leading stayers Double Trigger and Double Eclipse. Unlikely to be seen to best effect over this trip nor on debut and looks one to note with the future in mind.
34,000 gns yearling and a half-brother to winners Erysimum (7f-1m¼f), Rhombus (1m2f-2m) and Deauville Dancer (1m6f-2m). Dwelt, green and always in rear on debut over 1m½f at Nottingham (good to soft) last month. Can build on that today but has plenty to find to get competitive.
Completely outperformed 50-1 market expectations when ½L fourth in a Chelmsford maiden (1m, AW) a couple of weeks ago. First start on turf here and has a turf pedigree, his sire being at his best with cut in the ground. Interesting.
Ran once for Richard Fahey when an 8L fifth in a decent York maiden last spring (6f, good to firm). Dam is a full-sister to a 7f/1m winner (on good and good to soft), so hope that this step up in trip will be positive, while any rain may be a blessing. Market check very much advised.
Much improved effort when a 1½L third in a Newbury maiden (7f, soft) last time, having been sent off at 50-1. Unlikely to be that price here and pedigree suggests that this extra furlong could eek out more improvement, so has to enter calculations.
Runner-up in 7f novices' and conditions events at Haydock and Kempton last year and was sent off favourite at Musselburgh on his return (7f, good to firm), when running as if further would suit. Gets that step up in trip here and looks the one to beat on public form so far.
Carries the colours of that Wetherby standing dish over jumps Mister McGoldrick, though has yet to threaten to be as prolific on the Flat as that gelding. Early days yet, however, and all the signs are that she will show more when handicapping, though looks best watched today.
€52,000 yearling and the first foal of a Listed-placed 1m2f-1m3f winner. Pedigree suggests that further will suit her, but a market check is advised to gauge debut expectations.

Forecasts
Star Gypsy (5/2), War Of Succession (5/2), Tidal Watch (7/2), Nuncio (5/1), Thornton (7/1), Xylophone (15/2), Amazing Grazing (20/1), Bombero (50/1), Arquus (50/1), Starboard Watch (66/1), Global Roar (100/1)
War Of Succession is likely to be popular and is the one to beat on form, though the suggestion is to take a chance on STAR GYPSY, who raised a few eyebrows last time out. If the forecast rains arrive then he could really come into his own today. Tidal Watch and Nuncio are others who should be competitive, while market checks are advised regarding Xylophone and Thornton, who is also likely to appreciate any ease in conditions.
