Declaration Of War colt, cost 250,000 gns as a Breeze-Up purchase in April. Showed nothing on debut, racing keen after missing the kick but should do better now at least and trainer does well with his runners around here. Not dismissed for yard in form but needs to put up a much improved effort than his debut.

Raven's Pass colt, cost 45,000 gns as a foal and 60,000 gns as a yearling. Half-brother to several winners including the useful sprinter Banaadeer. Likely to be the yard's second string but bred for this kind of test on debut.

9/2
Reckless Abandon colt, cost 200,000 gns as a yearling. Half brother to useful two-year-old winning sprinter Mukhmal. Dam was a half-sister to two juvenile Listed sprint winners. Yard not had a winner for a while now but they generally they do well with their juveniles; not discounted if there's market support.

Lethal Force colt, cost 32,000 gns as a foal and £102,000 as a yearling. Related to plenty of sprinters and high draw no bad thing on this course in smaller fields. Trainer's runners going well in recent weeks (25% strike-rate, 6-24) so not dismissed.
Showcasing colt, dam closely related to Group 2 winner Bated Breath, half-sister to Group 1 winner Cityscape. Could go well on debut with top South African jockey booked.

Camelot colt, half-brother to six winners including Master Speaker, Tango Time and No Strings. Dam was a half-sister to US Grade 1 winner Twilight Agenda. Yard been quiet in recent weeks and probably best watched on debut with a sterner test of stamina likely to suit.

Bated Breath colt, cost £30,000 as a yearling. Dam a Listed sprint winner and plenty of speed in his pedigree generally. Appears the first-string on jockey bookings and yard can ready a newcomer, should go close.

Epaulette colt whose dam was a Listed sprint winner who placed in Group 2 company over a mile. Yard generally do very well with their juveniles but this one didn't show a whole lot to work on on debut. First-time visor applied.

Red Jazz colt, cost €65,000 as a yearling. Half-brother to a couple of sprint winners that include Group winner Ross Castle. Dam a sister to Group 2 7f winner Tariq. Plenty to like on pedigree.

Forecasts

Aiya (7/4), Merchant Marine (9/2), Collateral (9/2), Snazzy Jazzy (7/1), Frostbite (10/1), Margub (12/1), Good Impression (14/1), Alrahaal (16/1), Island Court (33/1)

18:40 Goodwood - 2 June 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

MARGUB makes plenty of appeal on debut and looks the first-string for Marcus Tregoning. Snazzy Jazzy is another debutante who makes plenty of appeal on paper. James Tate does well with his younger horses and Collateral makes up the shortlist.
  1. Margub
  2. Snazzy Jazzy
  3. Collateral
